What Genesis game are you playing right now?
Gredler replied to MagitekAngel's topic in Sega Genesis
Last night I got a personal best in Lightening Force - that game is so much fun! I want to get better at shmups, because I suck at them but really enjoy the game play. I got through 3/4 of the selectable levels, and ended with 545,230 points. Probably super low, but I was excited about the score. I could not figure out how to attack the end boss of the water level, but I can't wait to play again and figure him out. The selectable level progress is nice because I know that's the part I need to practice, so I can just jump straight into that level. That game is a blast!! I also played a tiny bit of Shining Force 1 and 2 to test the carts I just got, but no progress was made in those games. I think I am going to start alternating between Shining Force and Lightening Force for my Genesis play. -
I always wanted a 2600 and a master system, and until late last year I never had one. I picked up a mastersystem and a bunch of games for Chrismas last year and have no regrets - I can't believe I missed out on those awesome graphics at the time, it would've blown my mind. The 2600 I wanted for the joysticks, but after getting it this last february I have become very familiar with a ton of great 2600 titles like River Raid and Circus Atari. So much fun to be had in short bursts with that system. I've wanted a Turbo Duo (or variant there of that will let me play japanese hue cards and the region free CD's), and a neo geo CD since they were in their prime. Could never afford either, and I feel like that might someday soon be a possibility!

Sega's 3D Classics line for the 3DS
Gredler replied to Atariboy's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Count me in, I'd buy a US version of this. -
For the first time ever I finally beat Super Castlevania IV. The Grim reaper and the pole axe bird dude were the most difficult parts, but I was happy to finially buckle down and get past the game. I've had it since release, but somehow never saw the ending until this year. What a epic game.

Good adventure game to start out with?
Gredler replied to mehguy's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The Longest Journey was the first I played, and I played it long after it came out and it held up well. You may need a faq for some of the obscure puzzles, but it was really good overall. -
Liked and subscribed man, thanks for sharing here! Very well done man!

What Genesis game are you playing right now?

Last night and this morning I got into a serious bout with Granada - and it was a blast. Had never heard of it, but I picked it up in a lot, and was really happy to be surprised by it. Fun and addicting gameplay! -
Ghostbusters (SMS) VS Ghostbusters (NES)

Another great video man, production values are through the roof. Keep it up! -
What Genesis game are you playing right now?

I keep bouncing between Out of This World and Biohazard Battle. Opposite ends of the gameplay spectrum, but both very fun in their own right. They're both very difficult for me, I might be missing something. Maybe I'm using the wrong ship in biohazard battle (I like using the top right corner ship, and pick up the orange powerup that is heat sinking lazers.) Out of this World is hard as I not only have to figure out where to go and what to do, but if I fail I have to replay the previous section over and over. I am to the point where I break out of the cage, and try escaping while shooting and getting shot at by lazers. Both very fun, and challenging, so I hope to get through them before moving onto other genny games -
I just got a TMSS version, and the video quality is certainly better than my original HDG model 1. It makes me want to try replacing caps on my HDG model 1, as it's the one I grew up playing and it'd be fun to keep it as the daily driver for genesis. As someone with minor soldering ability, who's never replaced caps, is this something I can do or is it likely I'll hose my beloved console?

Does Ridiculous Shipping Make You Click Elsewhere?
Gredler replied to Omega-TI's topic in Auction Central
Just makes me sad -
If Mtilly has a game I want, I'll always order from him before another option because I know he will pack it well, give me fair price, ship it out quickly, and communicate through the whole process. I've said it before, but don't hesitate to buy from MTilly he's a pro. S Rank!

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
Gredler replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Congratulations for the epic find - stunning! Welcome to the Panzer Saga Club I had it as a kid, and never got rid of it because it's a really fun game. A great example of a awesome game that has sadly become too expensive to warrant for most people. I wouldn't buy it for what it's worth today, but for what I paid then and especially what you paid, it's a real gem to have. Do you have all 4 discs? I've considered packing away the box and manual for mine, and then putting the discs in a mult-dvd shell, along with all my Saturn/Sega CD games into DVD cases. the 4 discs for mine are in white sleeves that all sit inside the case above disc 1 with no foam insert like most Sega CD/Saturn games. -

I just received the games I bought from Austin's Marketplace thread. The games were shipped very quickly, packed excessively well, and were in better than I had imagined condition. Austin trusted that I would purchase particular games per my request, so he set them aside for me until I was ready to order them, and I really appreciate that. He was super cool to deal with, and was very friendly answering questions and giving me information about the games. I'm very thankful for Austin's sale, and for the pleasure of doing business with him. Hope to be able to make another exchange in the future.

Another great trade with MTilly. Packed very well and arrived very quickly, the games I bought from him were in great condition - well cleaned - and worked great. Again he gave me the hookup, and for that I am thankful. Don't hesitate to do business with MTilly if you get the chance - or do hesitate so I have the chance to buy the games he has for offer because I know I'll get a great product quickly and reliably. A+ Again sir, thanks!

Hmm, maybe it gets worse later on, but I'd hardly call what of it I've played it a turd. I haven't played mega turrican, maybe it's mind blowing. This is making me want to go spend more time with turrican and find out what the hubbub is about. Adding universal solder to the list - I had no idea it was a decent game
-
I rather enjoy Turrican, am I crazy? I got it not too long ago, and have really had a good time with what time I spent with it. Good music, cool imagry, and tight controls. I'm curious what your issues with it are

Hey Douglie - I am trying to get a model 1 genny so if you pick this up we can work something out
