CollectorVision Phoenix Kickstarter is now live!
SpotAnime replied to Bmack36's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Well I'm in, I hope you guys reach your goal. FYI, I've been around some Kickstarter campaigns before that failed because their goal was too high - people are hesitant to back because they have low faith the project will reach its goal. But sometimes if goals are set a bit lower, they meet and then plow through their target goals. Just a thought. I hope this does happen. Good guys behind a great product. -

I just picked up a copy of Space Shuttle from Best Electronics, but it didn't include the overlays. I'd like to print my own if possible, but I want to do so in high quality and as close to the originals as possible. I know some have had experience with printing overlays here, so wanted to ask for advice. Since I'm only going to print a single sheet, I'm not really thinking cost will be a concern. If it costs me $20, so be it. So two questions - what material was used on the original overlays, and how could I go about printing with that textured surface? I could always do laminate but that's too smooth if I want to do this as authentic as possible. And two, what resolution/dpi would I need the source to be at? What is recommended for printing the overlays? Or hey, if someone has a spare set of Space Shuttle overlays, spare me the time (although it sounds like it would be a fun project) and let me know!

Coleco strong-arming homebrew publishers and fan sites
SpotAnime replied to TPR's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
What do you mean, it is a clone of Pac Man Plus or is that the name of a homebrew dev (sorry I don't follow the hombrew scene) ? -
Coleco strong-arming homebrew publishers and fan sites

I know these aren't Donkey Kong / Pac-Man, but they're still hitting the same nostalgia feels for me. Anyone have any insight on the actual games? Who's developing them? And would anyone recommend against backing this, given the current Coleco holder's recent track record? -

What were YOUR first 5200 cartridges when you first got your system?
SpotAnime replied to BIGHMW's topic in Atari 5200
I want to say we got ours Christmas 1982, definitely with Super Breakout and Pac Man. But I also remember getting Pole Position with it as well? But I don't think that got released until later... -
Yeah I saw this pop up on my subscription feed and watched it yesterday. Pretty freaking cool! It seemed from the video that the controller chip was translating to keyboard (digital) input, so I was interested in seeing how this would work with analog games. Or are all games on theback5200 just receiving digital input? I was hoping he would have modded it so that there was no need for the breakout box for power or display. Ever since someone here did the power mod and discovered that there is a separate RCA jack internal to the console, I'm interested in seeing what that looks like.

Me and my family will be heading out to California the week of July 4th. While I am out there, I was wondering if there are any sites of interest or exhibits regarding gaming history I should visit while I'm there. I was tempted to call up Best Electronics and ask for a tour, or at least pick up some hardware I need while I'm there . From what it seems, there really isn't anything in CA of note, unless I want to visit a vacated building or warehouse, and the only museum of gaming history is in Texas. But are there any things off the beaten path or not well publicized that I should plan to visit while I'm out there? FYI, I'll be in SF and LA areas during the trip. Thanks in advance!

Bought Ballblazer Champions for PSX. Noah120 was very accommodating as I only bought this single game which he was selling for only $2. Sale Link: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/264710-fs-assorted-games-prices-lowered-new-games-added-on-2202018/ Thanks!

If still open, I want to order an additional 2 screens. Just aquired a lot of microvision units as parts, and I'm going to try to salvage them for family and friends. That would be a total of 4 screens for me.

Same. Once these are available for purchase, I'll be in the market for two. Did EvilDragon say where we would be able to order these from?

So about 2 hours in L.A. traffic then. I'd say you have time to batten down the hatches.
