(David) Retro Games THE400 Mini pre-order. I had to get one. Maybe one day we will get an Atari XEGS Mini. Well one can always dream ;). Now Retro Games and Atari have collaborated to create THE400 Mini. A half-sized version of the distinctively styled Atari 400, emulating the whole 8-bit Atari range from the 400 to the 800XL, and the Atari 5200 home console. Also included is a recreation of the classic Atari CX40 joystick, with an additional seven seamlessly integrated function buttons. Play one of the 25 built-in games, including: Lee, Berzerk, Millipede, Miner 2049er, M.U.L.E, Star Raiders II, and save your progress at any point in one of four save slots per game, or even pause and rewind gameplay to help you through the most difficult parts - a feature new to THE400 Mini. with Four USB joystick ports you are free to play content you own via a USB flash drive, Play games you own via a USB flash drive with disk, cartridge and cassette ROMs compatibility Here is a link if interested. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CRYXTL82?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details -

Capt. Bob: Hello Again to our faithful and intrepid listeners! In this episode of the podcast, we venture into the Land of Meh. Tonight's deep dive we profile two of the most underrated games of the 5200 library. Super Breakout and Kaboom! by Activision. And when you start digging, you always find a bit of a surprise. And these games might have a little magic to them after all. As always, we add the usual bit of mischief and jackassery that you've come to expect from the gang. (Quick Note: Capt. Bob's sound quality is a bit off. The bandwidth at the hotel wasn't the best.) You've played the Best. Now play the Rest! On tonights episode of The Atari 5200 Podcast! https://directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/28574233/tdest_id/3161447?fbclid=IwAR0p1gqaRng0URxV7Wyt4r8to_MZxZYbyzextg0FfoPvOG3kjR8gWt-gpZk -

I got the 5200 back in 1983. It came with Pacman. I was blown away when for the first time I got to see the intermission sequence between mazes. Hours and hours of Wizard of Wor, Joust, Star Raiders. It truly was the super system. Pac-Man (USA).mp4

(Capt. Bob) IT HAPPENED AGAIN!!! The gang was able to get together and put another recording session in the can! Once our editor extraordinaire (David) is able to sift through all the incoherent ramblings, our next episode will be out. This time we delve into what we call the paddle games. Super Breakout and Activision’s KABOOM. Plus the usual updates and thoughts on the new 2600+ from Atari. As always…. Stay Tuned! -
