Why is this so important that a new thread had to be started?

*Wild Applause*

Jaguar fans get so worked up when two people constantly bash their system and throw out sarcastic remarks for no reason. It's not necessary or welcome.
-
TM4 had plenty of exploding barrels . But yeah, they're all awesome.
-
Oh i agree, but i think that the fact the GBA is not dead after the DS is out proves that they have learned from that mistake. I'm just pointing out most systems get less games in there twilight days. 904778 I don't think it's necessarily a matter of learning from your mistakes. GBA was (and still is) a huge success, so support for it wouldn't suddenly dry up when a new machine is released. N64 was a lesser success, so support dried up faster than normal, but I do agree that Nintendo played a significant part in its demise.

They had Tony Hawk 4 and Doom II, but neither showed off the system's power or justified its price. If only they had ported Doom 3.
-
For #1 they also should have added that it was seen in Jag AvP.
-
2000 was also the last year before the cube, most systems get less support right before they die. 904746 But most systems die sometime after their successor is released, like with PS1/PS2. N64 support did seem to die around 2000, which, IMHO, was a premature death.

I remember emailing him with some questions about the kiosk and thinking, "I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!"
-
IIRC, this kiosk was on ebay about five years ago, and no one bid on it because the seller (in CA) only offered local pickup.

My vote is for the Marine. It's the scariest, and you have the coolest weapons IMHO.

If joysticks were made to be customized...
Needles Kane replied to Omegamatrix's topic in Modern Console Discussion
There's some PS2 pad that lets you swap the positions of the buttons and the D-pad, but that's a far cry from your uber-customization dream . That would be really cool. -
Terrible Reef Store dream...
Needles Kane replied to Lost Monkey's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I've had quite a few Reef Store dreams, and for some reason they all involve Genesis and/or 32x stuff. Maybe my subconscious is trying to tell me something. -
Same thing at my EB and Gamestop. I haven't seen GC stuff on the DVD-type racks yet, but rather in a corner where you can hardly see it.

R* 'Hot Coffee'/Federal Rockstar Probe
Needles Kane replied to Dones's topic in Modern Console Discussion
So we should be angry at them for making a product so popular that companies are copying it left and right? How dare you make a good game, Rockstar! -
Hell yes. I fail to see how a Pokemon game is less of a kids game than Spongebob simply because it's good. Yes, they are fun, but they are aimed at kids. You don't see adults flocking to G-rated movies, do you? No, because G-rated movies are primarily for kids. Just like Nintendo's E-rated games are primarily for kids. They are damn fun, but meant for kids nonetheless.

The Genesis 3 came out in 1997 and the Neptune was supposed to come out in 1995 IIRC. 896116 Yea... but I think he meant they should have just released a combo unit since they were going out of the way to re-release the genesis all over again anyways.. (would have been cool anyways..) 896118 Ohhhhh. Sorry, I read that wrong. The Genesis 3 came out in 1997 and the Neptune was supposed to come out in 1995 IIRC. 896116 Not to mention Sega didn't even make the Genesis 3. 896124 Yeah, Majesco made it.

Did you ask him what color the Delorean was? Of course if he said anything but silver you knew he was lynig also. 895471 Didn't they also make gold ones? I saw a gold DeLorean once, but it may have been custom painted.

Flashback: EGM's Top 100 (1997)
Needles Kane replied to Cobra Kai's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Wow..a 100 influential list would be a tough one to do...but that would be a fun one for sure. If I tried that I would probably end up having DOOM as #1. 894391 I'd put Doom as #2 and Pong as #1 (for obvious reasons ). -
IMHO the SNES version lacked a lot of what made the original Wolf 3D popular, which was the setting. Instead of fighting nazis, you just fight random brown guys. I don't get how that makes it more kid-appropriate, since you're still killing people. Can't comment on the control issue, since I haven't played the Jag version yet.

*Watches in horror as my precious thread crashes and burns* Back on topic: the Sega Saturn (or most other systems, for that matter) are not my area of expertise, so I encourage anyone who finds more (guaranteed there are) mistakes to email Mark and correct him.

Flashback: EGM's Top 100 (1997)
Needles Kane replied to Cobra Kai's topic in Classic Console Discussion
They should make two lists: one for the 100 greatest games of all time, and one for the 100 most inluential games of all time.
