Let's try and have one Jag debate not end in a locked thread and fanboy accusations (and the "bitness" argument is off-topic anyway). @kickinwing: Way to troll. *Wild Applause*

This is the second time someone has said that, and it's the second time someone has made a fool of himself.
-
...Ok... who said it did? I just received two more emails from the guy, and he's at least agreed to change the Jag page a bit: and this one: It's a start.

Flashback: EGM's Top 100 (1997)
Needles Kane replied to Cobra Kai's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Being EGM, I doubt they considered any classic games. That and the list seems to have quite a bit of SNES titles (maybe too many). -
Making a system multitask doesn't necessarily mean it can't do one task well. Having DVD capabilities on PS2 or Xbox doesn't make them any worse at running games.

And even if it was a joke (which it apparently is not), the owner of the site shouldn't be stealing images from other sites for illustration on his own. I'm guessing none of the pictures are his, given how he's used pictures from AtariAge to illustrate the various Atari systems. ..Al 892766 I just received an email from the admin of the site: Sounds like BS to me.

I'm assuming that sentence is supposed to mean "I can't see why you care; the whole site is a joke" rather than "I can't see why you care that the whole site is a joke." Well, it's not a joke. I've traded emails with the admin several times and he's really trying to build a decent game system database. Even if it was a joke, I'd want it to be an accurate joke. There are several threads on the whole "Is the Jag really 64-bit?" argument.

I didn't even notice that. Maybe I will .

No, AA doesn't suck . I found this site a while back and was horrified at all the mistakes and biased information on every page, especially the Jag page. I just sent him an email about it: Hope he fixes everything . Read through every console's page and you'll see what I mean.

I have one of these. The pad/thumbstick is great IMHO, but the buttons are a little too low on the face of the controller.

Sony's Gamer Advisory Panel...?
Needles Kane replied to vb_master's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I signed up for this a while ago. The kit includes a certificate (kinda overdoing it if you ask me) saying you're in the Gamer Advisory Panel, this CD-wallet slash notebook thing with a PlayStation pen, and I believe I got a PS2 demo disc as well. -
LOL Think???? If you DO decided to get it and dont like it, please keep it to yourself. After months and months posting to this forum.... bitching about Sony you will come off looking mighty retarded if you do. Just spare the rest of us, you'll have no-one to blame but yourself at that point. Agreed? 5 bucks says he gets one and bitches in spite of it all ; ) Amen, brother!

I can't understand why some people have such a hard time seeing and/or accepting the fact that Gamecube was designed and intended for kids' use. The system and the controller (which is small for a reason) are colorful and odd-shaped, appealing to kids. The vast majority of Nintendo's first party games are geared for kids, easy-to-learn and containing mostly kid-friendly themes. Does all this mean that it's impossible for adults to enjoy the Gamecube? Of course not. It means exactly what it says, that Gamecube was meant for children, plain and simple. No one goes to see Spy Kids at the movies and says, "Can comeone explain to me how this is a kids' movie?" This issue is why a lot of people hate the Gamecube. Nintendo's games are (for the most part) innovative, addictive, and really fun to play. The only problem is that they have limited appeal, being meant for kids. If Miyamoto used some of his genius to make the next Grand Theft Auto, a lot of people would stop hating Nintendo. Nintendo's ignorance to what sells is also a factor. They knew that online gaming was going to be big, but they chose not to take advantage of that with the Gamecube. Even after Xbox Live's success, they still insisted that "gamers do not want online games." The discs used in the Gamecube angered a lot of people due to their size. The discs (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) are proprietary, allowing Nintendo to make more money off their production. Their size also prevents piracy, but there are different ways of doing that. So, in exchange for gamers not being able to play DVD's and CD's, Nintendo made some more money. And, for the record, I do hate Nintendo, for all of the above reasons. And a lot of what I said probably has already been said, so I aplogize in advance for that.

Any chronic cheaters out there?
Needles Kane replied to Needles Kane's topic in Modern Console Discussion
You think games are too short and boring so you cheat and make them even SHORTER and MORE BORING? Wow, that's some genius logic there. 879619 Cheating often opens up new gameplay options/modes that aren't available otherwise, making the actual game game longer as well as adding replayability. You can beat a game once, and then see what it's like to beat it with your character dressed as Elvis carrying a giant sword. -
Any chronic cheaters out there?
Needles Kane replied to Needles Kane's topic in Modern Console Discussion
GTAs a popular game for cheating...but I find the missions are geared pretty well, difficulty-curve wise, so generally I'll struggle through on my own and save the cheating for just fooling around. Also, GTA has those "powerups" (150 health, armor, fireproof, etc) that I don't consider cheating but make the main game easier. 878614 Yeah, I don't use the GTA cheats to win missions with. It's just fun flying an ATV around in the air sometimes. -
Is there anyone else besides me who finds that some games are only fun when you cheat? I hate playing any Twisted Metal without a Gameshark, and GTA:SA is no fun to me unless I use the flying cars cheat. Or does this make me a huge loser?

I remember an old thread about this same topic. Here it is.

@ JB: 1. PlayStation 2 2. Xbox 3. Gamecube You're right, the system with clearly superior games always comes in third.

I couldn't have said it better. I really want to see the Revolution succeed, but Nintendo may be shooting themselves in the foot once again.

Call It the PlayStation Porn-Able
Needles Kane replied to Dones's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Thank you for your input, you are definitely contributing positively to this thread. 871579 Feel like a big man taking what i said out of context? And for any who wonders why i don't like the japanese one word. Hentai. (i dont really hate japanese people just the amount of smut they make) 871628 Nice job contradicting yourself. You said twice that you hate the Japanese, then you said you only hate the amount of smut they make. And yes, I do feel like a big man. -

Nah... they used to show old episodes of The Critic on Comedy Central, but they kept putting it on later and later at night, until they stopped showing it entirely. 868344 Comedy Central still airs it once in a while. I saw an episode yesterday.

I don't think Atari supported anything in the 5200 line after the 7800 was released, and 1987 seems even more unlikely. I'm stumped .

A lot of game stores do this, and it really pisses me off. It sucks the worst when you buy a bunch of games and when you get home you look in the bag and realize that only half of them have their boxes. Yeah, I should probably look in the bag before I leave next time.
