  1. Not sure exactly where you stopped, but footage of gameplay was posted on YouTube, and the creator of the game was also found and contacted. He confirmed that it was the game he made. I wish someone would make the rom available. Love to play it.
  2. This is about 2hrs from my home. I always make at least one trip over there each year, so definitely a possibility. Don't really know anyone from AA yet being a new member but would love to hook up with fellow members if there are going to be some showing up.
  3. Great job! This will make it much easier to locate a cartridge.
  4. 2600 is the better option. It's the quintessential retro console, and had a near 20 year run. If you don't own one, you should IMHO.
  5. Ataroid is still free. It's no longer being actively developed, but what's needed though really? I've used it since 2011 and been ok with how it worked. $2.99 for 2600.emu is worth it though.
  6. I also purchased mine via best buy in November 2013. Zero lag on any game I've played, emulated or not. I heard countless complaints from online reviews earlier in the year, and maybe they were deserved at the time, but Ouya gets high marks from me. I would have paid $100 for a box that allowed me to use XBMC without lag (unlike the PI), but throw in android games and emulators and this became a the coolest cube since Rubik's.
  7. It is metal. From your description it sounds like no one ever removed that plastic film. It is meant to be removed.
  8. This is the best I can hope for - 234520. For as simple as it is, Vanguard just wore me down! Now onto week 4 and some Kung Fu Master!
  9. Anyone know the reason that AA doesn't have the rom for this one?
  10. I know a guy who is almost covered in tattoo's. He's got A LOT. Mostly deep, deep nerd shit. He's 33 now and going through this "grow up" phase and now he's totally ashamed of his "art". He wears long sleeves, long pants, and tries his best to hide these tats from people. Don't blame him! There is pretty much never a time when a tattoo is a good idea, and getting 20 tattoos probably means you have serious issues.
  11. Bump. Wow, really? NOBODY has any 2600 box or cartridge templates for photoshop? Please do me a favor and post a working link! Thanks in advance.
  12. Oh yeah, great arcade game. It had 4 firing buttons, which was pretty unusual, and synthesized voice that would announce the stages. PLUS (as S.BAZ pointed out on page one) they lifted a sample of Vultan's Theme from Queen's excellent soundtrack of Flash Gordon for the invincibility powerup. I was admittedly a huge fan of Queen, and of Flash Gordon the movie. If you've seen that part of the Seth McFarlane movie Ted you know where I'm coming from with that.
  13. Wow, LOVE this game. Waaaaay back when this was a big quarter eater for me. Great game for SNK who went on to make many other great games and the Neo-Geo. Never owned this title for 2600, so not doing well on the high score front. Having some fun, but barely cracking 10k! Thanks for sharing some tips. Any more would be great, and may improve my game enough to get a score up that I'm not ashamed of!
  14. Love to! I do want to make some case inserts for cartridges I own using the templates, and would be happy to share. I know that the stuff does exist, and people were sharing, but can't be found any longer.
  15. Scans of boxes and or carts? Most of what's posted on the site (that I've found) are tiny 32Kb jpgs. I've checked thecoverproject and what they have is good, but there are less than 100 covers for 2600. Pathetic when you consider how many carts were produced from 77-93. What about templates for carts and boxes for photoshop? I have had zero luck finding these here. Some links exist for sure, but they are all dead. This site has been around forever, and so no surprise that links would die over time, but the newest one I found was 2012 to Mediafire, and that was also dead. I would greatly appreciate 2600 box and cartridge templates. Atari, Activision, Coleco. Even stuff like Parker, Imagic, Spectravision would be truly appreciated. If no templates, I am open to premade files for carts (like avail at coverproject) of higher dpi so that they can be printed. Thank you very much for helping!
