I have been bidding on some Vectrex stuff this week, and today I get this email from another Ebay bidder... Think that's the truth?

Yeah, I'd go with Gremlins also. As a kid I wanted it desperately, but never saw it anywhere. Then when I got back into collecting years later, I still couldn't find one. I had a bid on one in a cartridge lot on Ebay, I was getting a deal at $1.29 for the four carts (including Gremlins) until I was sniped at the last second.

Oh... yes, I'll be keeping it for multiplayer. I gave my girlfriend one for an early Christmas present, and so if the second one doesn't pan out as an pre-Xmas "investment", I'll be cracking that baby open and making it mine.

Some decent Acclaim titles included: Alien Trilogy Burnout 1 & 2 Cybernoid (NES, a personal gulity pleasure) NBA Jam the 3 South Park games (unjustly dumped on, IMO) Wizards and Warriors

Yeah I bought an extra one as well... as an investment. But if there's no mad rush for them I'll just keep it too. You can never predict these things.

Every system launches poorly. But come on, its not like the DS is the Virtual Boy... it's got tons of games coming and has an existing library of hundreds of GBA games. Plus you can play imports on it as well. It'll be fine. Everyone just breathe.

That's a shame. Burnout is such a great game... sad to hear that people quit their jobs because of the car smashing goodness.

I've never managed to get my hands on anything higher than a Rarity of 6, but that's probably because I'm such a cheap bastard.

Seems as though everyone bidding on Atari stuff this holiday season is new to Ebay. I keep getting outbid by newbies.

Have you seen the crap that sells on Ebay just because someone slapped an Atari logo on it? Trust me... someone would be interested in it. Ooo, and I see someone already is.

I'm sorry you have to do this. I had to do the same thing three years ago after I was downsized following Sept. 11. You'll be back though... we always come back to the hobby.
