    I have been bidding on some Vectrex stuff this week, and today I get this email from another Ebay bidder...

     

    I can see that you're into the game scene. You're also bidding on several of these vectrex games from what I can tell, and I understand that. I'm just asking that you Please give me a break and not bid against me for this one that I'm trying to get for my kids. I can't afford high prices. That's why I'm bidding on a unit that has paint on it. I want to give it to my kids for Christmas. Thanks

    Yeah, I'd go with Gremlins also. As a kid I wanted it desperately, but never saw it anywhere. Then when I got back into collecting years later, I still couldn't find one.

     

    I had a bid on one in a cartridge lot on Ebay, I was getting a deal at $1.29 for the four carts (including Gremlins) until I was sniped at the last second. :x

    Every system launches poorly. But come on, its not like the DS is the Virtual Boy... it's got tons of games coming and has an existing library of hundreds of GBA games. Plus you can play imports on it as well. It'll be fine. Everyone just breathe. :)

    I've been there, and it's not fun.  I also have friends who have gotten out of the game industry because of burnout.

     

    That's a shame. Burnout is such a great game... sad to hear that people quit their jobs because of the car smashing goodness. :D
