Grrrr... need.... edit... feature.....
This is actually a better link for the DVD collection: http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?id=filmjax

There are tons of DVD cataloging websites (mine are here, if you're interested...) but I don't know of any places where you can organize and display your collection on the web.
Anyone know of any places?

Are these worth the BIN? I rarely see them.

I recently pulled my Jaguar out of storage, and when I went to hook everything up, the RF switch didn't want to fully switch between the TV signal and the Jag. You could see the game, but it was awfully static-y. I had to use a Sega Genesis RF switch to get a clear picture.
What would cause a RF switch to just go wonky like that? Anyone else had problems with a Jag RF switch?

This idea was on Jay Leno a few weeks back... this guy just stole that idea. Sad.

Maybe it comes with Chrono Trigger?

Jeffvav,
If AA sells well, could there be more of these in the future?

Any bets on what this thing will be selling for on Ebay around December 15th or so?

Okay, I can see I'm in a minority here! To be fair, I only checked out Circus Atari and Super Breakout ... tonight, I'll dive in ... it's a cool thing no matter what, really ...Yeah, just playing the paddle games isn't going to really give you a feel for the quality of the product, since you'll already be disappointed with the lack of paddle-like controls. The joystick games work very well.
By the way, all my comments are based on the Xbox version. However I'm pretty sure the only differences between it and the PS2 version are the high score postings on Xbox Live.

I keep getting sniped too on this stuff. Now I'm not complaining, because I know there's nothing wrong with doing it. But is there sniping software people use or are they just sitting there at the last second?

For those who might see some issue with the sound or emulation, please, I'd really appreciate it if you could give me specifics. They seem accurate to the original hardware we compared against. We certainly try our best, and they are indeed emulators, but if we missed something, I want to know. I love these games. I grew up on these games. When I work on these compilations... it's corny I know, but... I just want to pay Atari back for all the fun they gave me... to do justice to their legacy.
I've been playing this for nearly a week straight now, and my only issue thus far is with the card shuffling sound in Blackjack. It simply sounds like it's at half speed in comparison to the original cart. Combat, Basic Math and Blackjack were the only three carts I had for nearly a year when I first got my Atari as a kid, so they are burned into memory.
Maybe I'm just insane.

So, is this what the M2 became? I'm guessing this doesn't have any functional value... it's just a collector's item?

I can remember Mom and I stopping at every Revco Drug Store (now CVS) in our town when I went to town with her. During that time there were 4 Revcos here and I pretty much racked out on Atari 2600 games. They hard huge piles of games at every store. The bulk of my first Atari 2600 library consisted of games bought at Revco stores.I almost mentioned Revco! They were my other source for all my games... tons of them everywhere. My grandmother would babysit me and she'd always end up needing to go to Revco, and I'd come home with a new game or two every time.

A lot of it feels spot on to me. Nice interface, high score postings on Xbox Live, little extras here and there...
Played through more of the 2600 games last night since Live was down for me... Asteroids, Haunted House and Missle Command seem to be flawless. Blackjack is still a disappointment... the sounds are off (and the game really only has two sounds to begin with).

Mine is down there in my sig.

Seems like Atari is un-marketing this system now ... take a look at the front page of www.atari.com and you can see they've removed the tab for "classic console" and there's nothing about the Flashback except for the original press release. I wonder what's going on? Waiting until their promotion is available for sale? Embarrassed by the picture of 2600 Asteroids used to sell an item containing 7800 Asteroids?Wow weird. You can't even get it to come up in a site search. It is totally gone.
Quick! Collector's item! Recall! Sell yours on Ebay for 200 times what you paid!

The crash was real for me. I remember stores putting out bins filled with discounted atari stuff (usually less than a US dollar). No one would buy them even at that price. After a while then came a dry spell where no store would sell videogames at all. As a kid I wondered what happened but of course never really knew.Another thing to worry was the amount of crappy clones that was out there. As a kid I bought a Smurfs cart that was exactly the same as the Coleco one I already had. You see, I saw the box and it had a different name and logo so I thought it was a sequel. Man was I pissed when I got home that day! I became very distrustful of buying atari games after that.
Mind you there was no Internet nor magazines nor Electronics Boutique stores to go for info at that time. So imagine how many people got ripped off just like me.
I was somewhat aware of it because I was an Electronic Games subscriber at the time and I believe they had a big cover story about it in one issue.
But as a kid I loved the aftermath. I still have DREAMS about the front of KayBee Toys in our mall, where all the Atari games were stacked up, 2 for $1. Every week I got an allowance of $2 and would go buy 4 new games. That Christmas I got something like 50 new carts. I loved it.

I had all the carts too except for the Foods ones... which I didn't know even existed until today.

If there's one thing I've always kicked myself for dumping off at a garage sale, it was this little baby. Moreso now, since it seems to be impossible to find.
There was one unit on Ebay in the last month. Didn't sell. But it was also just the unit itself. Other than that, no carts, no manuals, no nothing.
I miss it and want it back.

-
Boy, you'd think with such a rare opportunity you wouldn't just dump everything in one pile and not give any details.

I bought one of those in Eckerds/CVS yesterday for 6 bucks. It's wretched, and I don't even like the Intellivision.
So they're only a buck at the dollar stores? I got ripped off. In fact, even a buck is a rip off.
