Loved many versions of it, including the one on the Newton MessagePad: NewtHack

All those games were fun, despite me sucking at all of the nethack / roguelikes.

  2. Why didn't anyone tell me Earth Defense Force 4.1 was on steam sooner? This is an event of earth shattering importance.

  3. None of the codes have been used if you are wondering. I bought a humble monthly subscription and I don't want any of these so selling them off. So at least half off whatever steam wants for them. The Banner Saga $10 WWE 2k16 with all dlc $20 Sheltered $7 Epistory $7 Town of Salem $2
  4. Bought a "New" game from gamestop. Problem is, the disc is scratched.

I once bought 2 PSP games (I think it was Gamestop)while on vacation in Houston, got back to the hotel and the boxes were empty!

Thankfully the Sheraton was right across from the Galleria and I went back the next day and they gave me the games to go w/ my boxes.

In Gamestop's eyes, it's not used- they open a new copy to put the case on the shelf for people to look at.

Granted, more often than not employees do take those discs home to play (so I've heard), so it probably is used.

If you find a Gamestop getting ready to bag up their display copy for you, feel free to just tell them no at that point- you'll order a shinkwrapped game from Amazon. You're hardly obligated to pay full price for their employee loane...

  5. The game was a Famicom only release. The only way you can get it on NES is either a Reproduction or a pirate cart. It was made for a tournament in Japan and very few copies were sold if I understand correctly. Hence the name "Summer Carnival"
  6. This is bothering me. Someone on ebay is selling a reproduction cartridge of Recca. I have already tried to flag this and ebay has done nothing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/262392362024?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I know it's a fake because this is a Rare game that never got a NES release in the united states.

  9. Didn't read through all of this, but as for games you can find a lot of the common ones on ebay in lots for cheap. Theres the harmony cart like they mentioned above but for me personally, I like hoarding carts. I have a Vader model and a Jr., I like the Vader the most out of all of them aeshetically, but when I play I usually use the Jr.. Mostly because it's a pain in the ass to find an RF cable that fits inside the older models, wih the Jr. you can just grab a cheap video cable. Worth mentioning, I've owned two Vaders and on both of them the video is blurrier than the Jr. I hear because of cold solder joints. Some games I recommend. Berzerk (the atariage store has a hacked version if you want voice.) Demon Attack Mountain King Ms. Pac-Man Secret Quest Solaris Space Invaders Turmoil
  10. Holy wow. I went and bought everybody on my Steam list a game off their wishlist and they can't even be bothered to say thank you.

That's because you used their steam accounts.

  11. Playing Xenoblade X. This is the most padded, drawn out game I've ever had the displeasure of playing.

  12. Its the Gears of War Ultimate Edition that comes bundled with the Xbox one. I dont' want it so I figured Id see if anyone here wanted it.
  13. Selling my NES. Don't want to, but I have to. Its a bit stubborn with the blue screen, but it works. It has the AC adapter, AV cables (no sRF box), two controllers (one OEM and the other is a Tomee one), Wizards and Warriors + Wizards and Warriors 2 Ironsword. Everything will be $70 shipped to US. linking because images are huge on this site. http://imgur.com/3SmUity&mb2rVUD&Gs4v74V http://imgur.com/3SmUity&mb2rVUD&Gs4v74V#1 http://imgur.com/3SmUity&mb2rVUD&Gs4v74V#2

  15. I just sent you one. Sorry, I was waiting for a reply from other users, and they still have not got back to me.
  16. All are $5 each unless I specify an amount. Xbox 360 Binary Domain-Original case, manual, Disc is in acceptable condition. Battlefield 4-Disc 2 is in good condition, disc 1 is scratched a but more. It does have the original case, but it's a weird walmart one. Don't think it has the DLC advertised on the front anymore, because they are usually on vouchers that I did not get with this one. No manual, but not sure if it would have had one when it was new, either. Ghost Recon advanced warfighter- I swapped the case for an original xbox one, has original artwork , manual , game in accepptable condition Mass Effect 2- Disc 1 is in pretty beat up, disc 2 is ok. Original case, did not include a manual when it was new. Ninety Nine Nights 2- Gamestop case, No manual, accepptable condition Dead Space- Disc is in terrible condition, case swapped for original Xbox case, original artwork, manual. Red faction Guerilla- Blank case, no manual, disc in acceptable condition. Bionic Commando- Case, Manual, and marker writing on the plastic and disc. Disc Accepptable. The case is also black, so I think it may have been swapped at some point. Original xbox Ninja Gaiden, but it's compatible- Disc is Accepptable original case, and manual.. All cartridge games are cart only SNES The Lion King Firepower 2000- $10 Earth Defense Force U.N Squadron Wings 2- Aces high Genesis Lightening force (A.K,A Thunder Force 4) - $15 Hellfire- $10 General Chaos- $10 NES Air Fortress Dynowarz Dragon Warrior GBA Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga - $10 Advance Wars 2- $10 Will gladly send pictures upon request.
  17. I'd buy a new one when they are discontinued in 2016. Gamestop will probably sell them for cheap.
  18. Id recommend Dodonpachi Saidaioujou and Eschatos if you guys want some good region free shooters.
  19. From the standpoint of most indie developers, it wouldn't make much sense to create content for the VGS when Playstation and Xbox are far more mainstream. I'm sure most developers would like to see a profit from their games, and as niche as the VGS is, I don't think we'll see many games for it.. I like cARTridges too, and I would like to have one of these, but i'll wait until a list of confirmed releases is shown. They're shooting for $150- $180 at launch with $20-$50 per game.
  20. Well, do they have any games planned for it? I know of Tiny Knight, but it looks pretty average.
  21. Why would someone make games for this when they could make them and distribute them via xbox marketplace and playstation? The system seems kinda pointless, although I may wind up getting one because it's a neat little niche item,
  22. Sorry to burst your bubble, but isn't a system like this pointless? It's cool to hoard carts, but why would somebody develop for this when they could acheive more success by releasing via xbox indie games and playstation?
