Hi All,
I have a fairly large collection of Atari ST disks, that are either PD/Shareware that I would like to create images to use in a emulator or provide to the TOSEC scene.
I need something to create .ST .MSA disk images, if that is what is currently used for images, or I can attempt to use something else.
Please let me know of some links, sites, etc.
Thanks all.

Another idea popped into my head this morning...
On retrofitting this, I had an idea of having molded plastic made to match the shape of your 8-bit, 800xl, 65/130xe, etc.. to mold to the top of the 8-bit on the right hand side near the SIO port.
What i'm trying to visualize is the will be in a 1/2" high piece of molded plastic that's the same color and design of the existing top cover, and will fit snugly over it, with the display in the middle of the piece on the right hand side.
The LCD screen that's in there would be at a slight angle so it could be read easily, and the slot for the SD card would be on the right hand side, or on the back of the piece, so it wouldn't get bumped by hands plugging in joysticks, etc..
Whaddaya think? Am I mad?

Is there anyway to get more information about this project? I'd like to see more info on how it works, etc.. Does it use a PIC or some other type of cpu, etc. what the buttons do, etc.
I'd like to see more of this please!

Hey I just had an idea pop into my head...
Why not some how retrofit this into an existing 1050 case, with the LCD display in place of the floppy mech, and those buttons put along the bottom or on the side like a happy mod or write protect switch mod would go, that I think would look
snazzy
in a desktop setup. You could utiilize the power and the SIO ports plus the drive selection switches from the existing board, or make a new one so you could have those features.
You'd possibly have to add a little weight to the case to make it feel like a 1050 drive, due to the floppy mech would be pulled out.
just a small rambling and idea...
Thanks for reading.

Just curious to know if these mods you've done, are available to others?

Your modifications have inspired me to get into moddin' my other 800XL I have in the closet, that's waiting to have stuff like this done to it.
I'm even considering what zenassem suggested and use a Stamp to control a LCD screen.
Again, I think the mods you've done to your 8-bit are awesome.

They have the ROMS, HQ scans of the arcade, pinball, and console systems manuals. you'll need bittorrent software to get the files. I've just about downloaded it all and it's over 22 GB of data.
Hope this helps!

Has anyone figured out the scheme of how ghostbusters creates the account # from your name and final money? That would be great if you could type in a word and a account # and get lots o' money
or just figure out how to do it to get a certan amount, etc...I know there are some accounts out there with certan values already, but it would be nice to create an account with just enough cash to get the good stuff, bust some ghosts, and then go cream the stay puft marshmellow man...

Hey all,
I was hoping someone could help me out with finding information about a matchmaker / personality coin-op from the early 90's.
Here's what I know so far about them.
They use a 800XL computer with a custom cartridge for the program and data. Black and White Monitor, 800xl keyboard with some of the keys painted over with Red and Blue paint. and a dot-matrix printer to print out the results.
Does anyone have such a beast anymore, and are the roms available on the net somewhere? I've done an exaustive search with google.
Thanks!

K-Products HD interface
in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Posted
Hi!
I have one as well. Bob Klaas is the owner of K-Products and I contacted him a few years ago, due to I had one, but lost the interface in a move, but still had the HDD.
My setup is a 20 Meg SCSI HDD, in three paritions. The interface has a ROM that contains the Parition information. To change it, you need to get the new information about the new drive, and how you want to split it up, then re-burn the ROM.
THe interface is pretty good, it also contains a parallel port interface.
But for more information, try locating Bob Klaas. Last time I knew where he was, was in the Salt Lake City, Utah area.
Hope this helps.
