Now things get really clear. Yes, in that you deliver nothing but diatribe.. -

What you have written above, points to a lie. You actually know the 6502 due to the C64 or other machine and put some code onto the A8 to have comparisions, hoping to find bad parts, as it seems... So what if I know 6502 down to a 64 ? For the record I learnt 6502 on a Microtan 65.. So what ? You think only people that start on an A8 are important ? You're a twat,as usual, if you believe that.. -

My intention is that I still like programming for the A8 family.. Have you ever programmed them ? Or just talk shit all day ? Edit: as for being on AA ? My love started in 1987 when I wrote my first 2600 game, and love the purity of the machine.. I later did 7800 prototypes.. But thankfully never A8 work. No money in it.. People like you are like the fascists of late 1930s Europe mate.. You're wankers of the highest order that speak of how things could be if we listened to you.. Yet.. Deliver fuck all.. -

Seriously, what have you written beyond some cock arsed slide show ? Edit: well, contributed the pictures, rather than coding ? Edit: I said nothing about A8 coders in general.. Stop misinterpreting.. -

Thanks again. I wrote that in the late 80s. The 1st tool that was able to show this GFX without errors is G2F. And, you know when it's been there. I really doubt you know what you write at all. Particular the main word of your vocabulary explains what you are for real. Late 80's eh ? Should that mean you receive handicap points ? It looks shit.. Nothing more than a kack slide show from my flippage through, thoughi might have missed the super climax in there somehow.. Now.. Coder to coder.. Where's something that involves you doing some code ??? -

So.. Once and for all.. You've written fuck all, beyond that of which any muppet writes ? Cool Edit: I reckon I've written more graphics tools, for retro purposes, this week than you've written in your entire life.. Edit:edit: and what does this demo have to do with you ? Edit:edit:edit: I can believe you wrote that.. It's shit dude.. -

If that's your opinion.... hm.... no chance for arguing here. The only point that makes me still wondering, perhaps you could explain that to me, how is it possible to manage things, when you don't have the slightest clue? Because I've written and shipped games, in the real world.. You.. Just talk shite all day.. But you never made a game on the A8. So you DON'T have the slightest clue about it. Possibly you're one of those guys wasting huge resources for small games... no problem on 1GHz and more clocked CPUs with even more powerfull graphics in there.... be careful that your giant is not tumbling No, never on the A8, you're right for once.. But I'm quite familiar with it now thank you.. Yes, I come from a Polish background, but 512k carts for 64k games is wrong.. You talk non-stop about what it can do but without ever having to write a line of code to backup your ideas.. I like to write code to backup ideas.. Which I have done on this exact subject.. Have you ? Edit: and by your own logic, how can your opinion be of any importance when you've written nothing, either as an amateur or professionally ? -

Don't look at me, emkay asked for an example and that's my fastest version (the one atariksi reckoned he could do faster if memory serves...) =-) There's some speed ups I guess, using unrolled copy loops (strip draw as heaven calls it) combined with illegals such as SAX to enable fast PM clipping in the context of an unrolled loop.. Other than that, it's compiled sprites for setting PM data, which is what I resorted in my silly multiplexer experiments, because copying them is so very slow.. That said, Twattys comment about double height lines being the answer is wrong as usual.. Most of Jose's idea are workable in my opinion.. Just unrewarding for a programmer, IMHO -
How to remove yellowing from an old Atari case

That makes perfect sense then, even at this time in the morning, and answers why the glass makes no difference.. Thank you There's a million and one questions still, but I'm not going to ask them.. Apart from one, which is why people had luck with UV lights when their filters block most of the light > 400 nm ? I assume they must just let through some light in the violet region 400-420 nm, which is enough to get things going ? Anyway, I'll stop asking questions and just dismantle, clean, paint and stick it in the sun -

Hmmm, but I thought glass blocked UVB and let UVA pass, and that UVB was responsible for acting as the catalyst here ? Or something equally complicated which is unimportant given I failed Chemistry catastrophically.. Should have just listened, word for word Anyway, not important really.. I had fun, caught the sun massively, spent the last 2 days drinking beer whilst nursing them, and have super soft fingers now, and more to come still as I probably destroy more innocent computers I will have some fun with the 64 then (if nothing comes of it's overnight Peroxide bath), and see just how mental I can get it, and just how wrong it can go > In the name of experimentation.. I guess I was a little too impatient, and over-flushed with success from the VIC + Atari's.. So far, same methodology, same weather, same treatments worked out for the VIC, 65XE, XL (now it's feint bits have vanished with a run through the dishwasher), and the 400 came out trumps, just need to do the flap and clamp now I've got into the madly engineered shielding inside.. Sad the 64 let me down, but it wouldn't be the first time Still, all good fun -

C64 has gone a bit mental.. Weird streaks on it and it was only in the sun for 2 hours, but the streaks only come out when it dries, and they seem to be almost powder like on the surface, in that I can scrape it with my fingernail.. Keep it wet (with water) and no streaks.. So.. I've left it soaking overnight in my tub of dilute H202 in a bit of an experiment.. I figure my big tub I've been washing things off in has nearly 1 litres of Peroxide in it now, in about 5 litres of water.. So I'm curious what'll happen if I leave it soaking in this mix all night.. It's dispensable, the C64 I mean.. I was nervous of doing it anyway, so started with the crap one Anyway.. Whilst browsing around on eBay, I found an interesting set of pictures of a VIC-20 that's been boxed.. What's interesting is that where the VIC's case has been in sitting in contact with the foam packing, it's yellowed rather badly.. Here, see for yourself: -

Right, well I've finally got stuck in http://www.facebook....=3&l=ffd5473025 I started with a pretty scrotty VIC-20, just in case it went horribly wrong.. I think I'm in love again after seeing the results.. Such a beautiful creature once again!! Even though it's the one that case a few gouges in it and black marks.. I can't wait to do my special VIC Then a 65XE, the keys needed two blasts but it worked a treat! Currently done, but awaiting assembly are the 400 and (a really yellow) 800XL, but I'm still dreading opening the 400's shielding to get the cartridge flap and latch off, so it'll look odd with me having done that.. And XL keyboards scare me now Currently there's a 64 and Plus/4 in the dishwasher, they'll be getting cooked later.. One interesting thing was, that I tried FJC's method of leaving it on overnight, and come morning it had hardly changed colour, if at all.. Once the sun was out, a few hours in the lovely rays had even the horrible yellow XL nicely done, and the 400 looking healthy again.. I'm amazed at how simple this is.. One lesson learnt.. I'm never popping the keycaps off a Plus/4 ever again! Far too fragile, and I've snapped the plastic locating pins off 3 keys even whilst trying to be really delicate.. Where as the VIC + 64 are pretty sturdy contraptions to say the least.. The VIC especially! Anyway, some pictures of the events so far in the album up there.. I'll add more as they happen.. -

For me, his heyday was GridRunner,LaserZone, HellGate.. All on the VIC-20.. Nothing original, but then that's what he did best before he thought he was the next Miyamoto and took himself too seriously, and started to whine non-stop.. Everything else by the hairy thong is mostly bilge... Sorry Jeff fans and yak -

No.. These were not imported machines.. I know Shekana well, in fact bought my first PC-E from them, imported.. The machines I refer to are official Turbografx PAL machines.. Made by NEC for the PAL release, which fizzled.. There was a test marketing campaign (beyond TCR) for this stuff, which failed.. Miserably.. And no, I've never had a thing to do with Gremlin, apart from trying to sell them my 8-bit sampler hardware back in the day Apart from that, yes -

Sort of right.. Was marketed and pushed in several London shops back in the day.. In fact I'm selling one of them right now -

FA: Vectrex - 7800 - X-Arcade - TurboGrafx-16 (PAL-50) version

I'm as surprised as you at the silly price people were prepared to pay for it, but the number of watchers on that one auction was really quite silly.. I did check your website before I listed it to see if you were still making them, and noticed you say that you're sold out, maybe that had something to do with it.. -

I don't know the exact weight, but I expect it's going to be around 20 to 25UKP.. That said, I've not shipped much stuff internationally, so am not up to speed on all the best shipping deals.. edit : Although if I left the power supply out it'd be a lot lighter, and cheaper.. Damned thing weighs about twice as much as the console itself.. -
The next load of toot is up on on fleaBay, and these in particular might have some interest to a gentleman with a penchant for things of a retro persuasion.. Dual X-Arcade stick, with USB adaptor.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200800157119 A TurboGrafx-16, but a PAL-50 which is a bit rare like guv.. Shooters are piss easy on one of these, not surprisingly http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200799212822 Vectrex http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200798937009 One very lonely PAL 7800 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200801788871 Loads more other rubbish up there as well as the huge clear-out continues.. Everything has 0.99p starting price and no reserve, and I won't be yanking auctions.. What will be will be I guess..
