  1. Yes, it's basically the mod from the wiki. The biggest difference is that it uses a 47 Ohm resistor instead of a 20 Ohm. This results in a dimmer but more stable output.
  2. That mod works just fine on Intv II's. Both Intv II's I've modded, though, had more "ghosting" effects than the other 24 Intellivisions I've done.
  3. I've installed a few of Fred's mods. They only do video, so you'll have to run the audio through a coupling capacitor (100 micro Farad, electrolytic) separate from the mod. It looks like your photo has the white wire as video in, yellow as video out, black as 5V common and red as ground. A good place to mount it is on top of the four ICs to the right of the RF box when looking at the board with the RF box closest to you. His mods are brighter than Murat's (the Turkish guy's), but they tend to be unstable when the screen features bright colors. I replaced the 20-22 Ohm resistor with a 66 Ohm resistor (two 33's in series) to make it work more like Murat's.
  4. How sad is this? I was in the process of collapsing the shipping box for recycling when I noticed the Intv/Running Man stamp and scan code on it. Now it's been reconstituted as a displayable "Intellivision stuff holder!"
  5. The covers are interchangeable. You also need to swap out the controller trays and leads. Just be sure to put the short screw in the front center hole on the Sears cover because a long screw will poke through the lid! Also be careful not to pinch any wires when you tighten the covers down.
  6. I bought one of the Turkish mod kits on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intellivision-A-V-Composite-Video-Mod-Kit-NTSC-PAL-DIY-/181043125890?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a2702de82. It was fairly easy to install and it works great! When you follow the instructions on the Bee's Life website, the RF output still works: http://www.intellivision.us/video_mod/video_mod.php
  7. Here's a mod you can order on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intellivision-A-V-Composite-Video-Mod-Kit-NTSC-PAL-DIY-/181043125890 It's fairly easy to install and works really well. I modded a Sears Super Video Arcade two weekends ago because the RF port was really flaky and stopped processing sound. After the mod, it works like a brand new machine! It ships from Turkey, so be patient.
  8. Below is from the Intellivision Lives website: FUN FACT: One magazine dubbed Kool-Aid Man as the "stupidest video game of 1983," adding "What's next, the Michelin Man game?"As a result, to this day when someone refers to Kool-Aid Man, Mark Kennedy corrects them with, "that's the AWARD-WINNING Kool-Aid Man!"
  9. I'd like one with a Mattel box, please. Nice work! (I noticed no one uses the "Z" word...)
