  1. Hi guys, I saw this item on eBay and it says the drive in the ST/e can be replaced with an HD drive. Just wanted to ask anyone who has upgraded to an HD drive if this works or if there are any issues with it. TIA. Don http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...egory=1289&rd=1
  2. There is a site for 5200 game manuals at http://atarihq.com/5200/manuals/ It's got Popeye and James Bond 007. Chances are the controls and instructions are the same.
  3. You can start from the Atari ST FAQ at http://www.megacom.net/~q-funk/ST/
  4. Thanks for the leads guys. Is the 1943 (or 1944) on ST any good? I remember playing it in the arcades and it was a lot of fun.
  5. Hi kheffington, Thanks for the ATR files that you've sent. I was able to play them all except Barnyard Blaster which hangs (using APE 1.18). When I run it on the XEGS, it tells me it needs 64K of extended memory. On the 130XE and AtariWin800, it just wouldn't start after the Homesoft screen. Any ideas? To all, thanks for the leads and the links. TIA. Don

  7. Hi all, I recently got a lightgun and I am now frantically searching for lightgun games. I've managed to get Bughunt and Sharpshooter. Can anyone point me where I can get ATR files for Barnyard Blaster and Crossbow? I got the games in BIN and EXE extensions but these files doesn't seem to work with APE using SIO2PC. Am I right? Any other recommended Lightgun games?
  8. Just following up on the "Best Racer" and "Best RPG" topics. I'm new to ST gaming and I've just started playing Xenon2. Any other recommendations?
  9. I read in another topic that you can use HD disks on the ST by taping over one of the notches on the disk. In the ST, is it possible to copy the contents of a DD disk into a HD disk? The reason is I've already ran out of DD disks so I'm copying games from my PC into the DD disk (using Makedisk) and then in ST I'm planning to copy the DD into HD disk. I've tried this once using Desktop copy but it said the target disk has a different format. I have earlier formatted the HD disk in ST. Has anyone tried this before?
  10. Thanks Nukey Shay. What sort of plug does the Drive have? Is it one that can easily be found at electronic shops? TIA. Don
  11. Hi guys, Is it possible to use a 1050 Disk Drive bought from the US and used in Australia? Is there any difference apart from the power supply? I assume the NTSC/PAL issue only applies to the computers. What is the power supply and requirement for the 1050? Any help is appreciated. Cheers, Don
  12. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Teaming up with my 5-year old son. Hours of fun.
  13. Thanks Bry. I was able to fix it by opening up the 130XE and adjusting a component (with a 500k label on it) with a flat head screwdriver. Just letting everyone just in case you'll need to do it on yours later. My 130XE has been revived!
  14. Hi guys, I have connected my 130XE after a long while and the color of the TV display with the READY prompt is greenish rather than light blue. I tried running simple programs to display colors and orange looks red. I have tested the TV cable with my XEGS and it's fine so it's a problem with the 130XE. Is it still possible to revive my 130XE? I'm thinking of using the monitor jack to connect to the TV hoping that it's only a problem with the TV jack. I've seen a monitor cable (DIN) with RCA outputs being sold in eBay. Does anyone have any idea on how to make this cable? Thanks
