As far as exact emulation, the FB2 and/or FB2+ is the best. My favorite Flashback, however, would have to be the FB5(I want to get the FB6). Any game you play CAN be paused in the FB4 and FB5. I find that to be pretty neat. I'd go for the 5 personally.

Very nice collection.

I have 130 2600 games including Halo 2600... 70 more to go if I want the 200 cart club.

I've been playing Haunted House lately. This is definitely the time of year to do it.
Good choice. That's usually my gaming tradition as well. I like playing it in the dark with the volume turned up.

But lately, I've been interested in some of the games I don't own that are on the Flashback 5. Like Shield Shifter, Strip Off, Miss It, etc.

I was completely oblivious to the crash. I didn't learn of it until I discovered this website in 2008.
All I know is that games were super cheap. And I was in heaven, building up my collection to just over 150 games.
Yeah, that's is partly why I love the 2600, because not only are there hundreds of games to get, but they mainly range from $1 to $5 each at a reasonable game store or garage sale. Now that's gaming.

This is a pretty fun game. Never even heard of it before, but I have it on my Harmony Cart. This is my 2nd attempt. This ramps up pretty quickly! And you don't have much air on the later stages!
Thanks for mentioning this game, AtarinDave
No problem.

Been playing Aquaventure on the Atari Flashback 5. Too bad it wasn't released.

Intellivision brother hood, aye? I'm in, I enjoy it very much.
-
Lol, I have all the 2600, 5200, 7800, Lynx, and Jaguar. But I didn't limit my desires for just Atari, I got the INTV, ColecoV, NES, etc. So I don't see any "threat" here.

-
So this is gonna become something like 8-BITAGE?

-
Thanks for the list, Bill.

If anyone here does get a FB6 (incidentally, they should be readily available now at your local Toys 'R Us stores), here are the questions to which I would like to get answers:
- Question: Is Battlezone actually in the system?
- Projected Answer: No, it's a misprint on the box.
- Question: Is Secret Quest fully playable, with some substitute in place for the B&W/Color switch function?
- Projected Answer: No, it's as broken now as it was the last time AtGames included it in a Flashback (2011, FB3).
- Question: Does Indy 500 work with the VCS driving controller?
- Projected Answer: No. But maybe it works with paddles?
- Question: Does holding down Start + Select while powering on the system still make it go into the debug mode?
- Projected Answer: Yes, because it's the same underlying hardware.
- Question: Does the debug mode still say "Titan"?
- Projected Answer: Yes, because it's the same underlying hardware.
Oh, great and powerful Fuji gods, let someone give us the answers to these questions!
If it were officially licensed, though, shouldn't there be a copyright/trademark notice on the box, like there is for Taito, Intellivision Productions, and Good Deal Games? And, May 2016 is far enough away that the FB6 will be an afterthought by then. I'm inclined to think it is not licensed.
onmode-ky
I believe your projected answers are spot on. I don't think the Indy 500 driving controller will work, but it will most likely work with paddles.
If I there's something missing from my reply, someone correct me.

Yeah, Berzerk sounds good, too.

I'm discussing the 2016 products with AtGames now (again, it looks like just Atari and Sega updates), so if anyone has any suggestions for games to include - particularly arcade games (Battlezone, Pooyan, etc., are some obvious ones that come to mind) - let me know and I'll pass it on to them. They're looking for new games to license.
How about Luner Lander?

Wow, dude. That is awesome, bro. I wonder if this was for some kind of gaming related contest reward. That would make sense, but you'd think the box would look different from the rest.
Very weird, but awesome. Also, the right controller's chord is thinner than the left, very very strange.

This would be hilarious if we find out that he's actually a random 16 yr old.

It might be a joking matter to you, but it's important to some of us. If you have nothing constructive to add, why not just STFU and go read the Checkered Flag thread or something.
I understand the situation you're in, but this is the internet. No matter what website you go on, it will have the same side effects. You will find trolls, jokers, etc.

DIG DUG, CENTIPEDE, QIX versions are way better on the 5200.
Redone from scratch!
Also, STAR RAIDERS had a couple bug fixes too, also better control with 5200 controller!
Wow, you enjoy Star Raiders on the 5200 more than 8-bit? That's pretty cool.

Atari Flashback 6
in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
Posted
Eh, at this point I am not interested in a Flashback 7.... Srsly, I like the FB6 and everything, but there is no freaking way I'm gonna spend another $40 for the same games I have plus a few different ones. If they could just focus on some other fun Atari systems instead of doing 7 do-overs of the 2600, then I'd be interested.
