  1. Hmm, Xybots on Lynx reminds me of Berserk on 2600 ...

I have always considered Xybots to be a spiritual successor to Berzerk. Especially with the trash-talking robots.

  2. Wow, you enjoy Star Raiders on the 5200 more than 8-bit? That's pretty cool.
  3. Hello, Atarians! Do you think Superman III should've been released, or do you think the game wasn't good enough and was rightfully held back? In my personal opinion, I think Superman III is awesome. It's basically a Missile Command on steroids(and I really enjoy Missile Command). But I want to hear your thoughts on the matter.
  4. Stayed up until 3 am last night. Berserk on Atari is addicting...

  5. Nintendo is always better... on Atari

  6. Hmm, I have both the Jag and 3DO. I enjoy the Jaguar waaay more than the 3DO.

  8. So far, I think Joust on the 5200 is the best port. This being said, I haven't played the Lynx version yet, so I wouldn't know.
  9. Hmm, that would make sense, but I am not sure. I don't know if anyone here knows/remembers that the Atari FB2 and 2+ had a few unlockables, you typed in "1972" on your joystick(Up:1 Down: 9 Up: 7 Down: 2). The FB2 came with 2 paddle games, and the FB2+ had 3 of the same type... That would be cool if they did the same on the FB6, but I doubt it, because they never did it on the FB3-FB5.
  10. Man, sucks that they didn't make that many 7800 games, I really do think it's an underrated system.
  11. Whoa, that thing looks awesome! Thanks for sharing
  12. I got White Men Can't Jump for the Jag, not as bad as I was expecting it, but still average... At least I got it with a Team Tap :D

I can't even imagine how bad a game you were expecting if White Men Can't Jump ended up not being that bad. :P

  13. Hello, fellow Atarians. I am not sure if anyone has done a topic on this yet, but if so, my apologies. Anyway, when I got an Atari 800, I noticed how the 5200 games are almost exact to some of the Atari 8-bit computer games. For example: Pacman, Jungle Hunt, Star Raiders, Rescue on Fractalus, etc. I am curious on which version of those games are better in your opinion . For me, I think Missile Command is the best on the Atari 5200, those joysticks, as horrible as they are, work perfectly on Missile Command. Of course, it's always good to use an Atari 2600 joystick or something similar on the Atari 8-bit computer, but I enjoy it more with the 5200 joysticks. This being said, games like Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Mario Bros, etc. don't do it for me. Those joysticks are awful for those games. But playing on the Atari 8-bit seems to fix all of those issues on that matter(Keep in mind, you can use a Sega Genesis controller on the 8-bit computers ). I would like to hear your opinions, please share!
  14. Weren't there only 67 games?
  15. Yeah, I remember when I got my Jag for Christmas, I still have it to this day. I would label myself as a Jag fan, but of course, I am also an XE fan, 2600 fan, etc.
  16. I know I may be late for the party, but amazing job, bro. Keep it up.
  17. Interesting discussion... Yes, I have a Jaguar for collector's purposes, but I will say that I play many games on the Jag, specifically Doom, Iron Soldier, and Zool 2. But of course, that's just me.
  18. I always go for Standard, because I don't see the point in having an extra 'toy' with the game or an extra game mode, etc.
