  Kind of like the way the previous generation of mags acted like they were already so over things like the Jag VR. How can you be already past something that Never even came out?

  NextGen was a great magazine. Very high quality. EGM and then later GameFan were probably my favourites.

  I liked Next Gen for many years, but the snobby fartsmelling is definitely their domain. EDGE magazine (from which NG was a USA spinoff) continues with more of the same. They're not particularly relevant anymore, since everything is online now. Their digital version on the iPad was particularly awful, lots of busy "interactive" layouts that took up 1GB of space per issue.
