  1. Here are a bunch of roms they gave away at Christmas. If you don't have one already, I would get an atarimax SD cart and start with these. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/273502-team-pixelboy-news-bulletin-december-25th-2017/ I just got my SGM today. Gonna fire it up tonight and give them a try.
  2. Any chance this could be upgraded to a payphone style keypad to match the arcade toughness?

  4. Fair enough, just seems like a very convoluted solution to a 3 solder point problem. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  5. That won't help with a 12v-6v voltage drop under load. Nothing wrong with the console, it's the 12v regulator in the PSU. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  6. Bad 12v regulator Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  7. Your 12v regulator is bad. Mine had the exact same problem. I just installed the kit from console 5 since it has everything. https://console5.com/store/colecovision-console-power-supply-cap-kit.html
  8. Nothing? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  9. Agreed. If you're going through the trouble of an all new board, just make a new console. Otherwise you just encourage the destruction of original, most likely repairable motherboards and badtardized cases. Commodore 64 is going through the same sort of thing right now. 10. If he's gonna a donate, just donate to someone that likes fixing them. They're pretty easy to work on with basic skills. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  11. Are any or them for sale? Mine didn't work either after sitting 20 years, so I rebuilt the power supply and am in the process of upgrading the power switch since I screwed it up cleaning it. That's why I specified beyond repair, most of their problems are pretty easily addressed. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  12. Are that many CVs really failing beyond repair? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  13. Hmm. That definitely sounds like a power switch issue but if you changed it im not sure what the fix is. My 12v line was dead so I replaced the caps and regulators. I'm now having your same problem but it's definitely the switch as I screwed it up cleaning it. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  14. Yes. I just installed one. What are your symptoms? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  15. What are the switches people have found to use as replacements other than the RadioShack red one? Please DO NOT mention refurbishing the original. It's not an option. I dropped a contact and it got smashed. While I was able to get it back into workable shape, it will never be 100% again, hence the need for a replacement. Thanks. What I'm looking for is something to fit the original opening and black. Indicator light would be nice but can do without. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  17. Have a link to those switches? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  18. Refurbishing the original is great, until you drop a contact and it gets crushed before you find it. I got it close and it mostly works but a replacement would be ideal Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  19. It's normal with a bad/dirty/weak power switch Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  20. 1. Composite/Component 2. would be nice, but who doesnt have a 2600 already? 3. yes, optional add on ok 4. Both. 5. standard works for me 6. standard 7. Through hole soldered components I assume would be cheapest and serviceable. No surface mount.
  21. Who made the boards you used in the Neo-Geo sticks you used to make? Just saw an old post on those. Would love something like that to make a custom stick.
  22. I just rebuilt my original. New caps and regulators. Pretty easy fix if you have basic soldering skills. I'm still pretty new at it. Console5.com has a kit that includes everything for like 7 bucks for both the power supply and console, although I didn't cap the console or change the chips inside the PS.
  23. I'm pretty bummed I missed out on this. Always late to the party. Just finished rebuilding my power supply and finally have a working CV for the first tim ein 20 years.
  24. There's a guy on ebay that does recap and led mod for 75 bucks. I'm just looking for other options/suggestions. Thanks.
