  1. I'm not sure where you found those FedEx prices, but every time I've compared shipping, between personally mailing things, selling on eBay, or choosing shipping from a website, USPS has always been the cheapest and most reliable. Top it off with FedEx's horrible handling techniques, like kenny said, and I'll never use FedEx.
  2. I use eBay and I can't imagine ever shipping a game in a bubble mailer... Heck, I have an auction for cards and a tin where I plan to use a bubble mailer, and I'm so scared that the tin is going to get messed up, but I really don't want to switch to a MFR box... Then again, nothing is selling, so I'm sure it'll be fine. lol As far as the USPS flat rates being of inferior quality, I sorta agree. I have about 200 right now and every third one I use is misaligned, doesn't fold right, has gaps regardless of how it's packed, etc.. I already go overboard packing most of my items, but I find myself running out of tape faster and faster to ensure that the boxes even stay together...but that free $50 insurance, free box, and not getting charged 3 bucks EVERY TIME on calculated postage is worth it. Besides, with all the free boxes, I have ample strengthening cardboard for the boxes...lol

    Frogs and Flies.

iwan-iwanowitsch-goratschin has messaged an offer of $40. Both inquirers have asked if I have a price/goal, I do not. Simply taking offers.
  4. Someone told me to post in this forum about the Frogs and Flies demo(?) cart I found. If this is not a good place to post this, please move it to the appropriate section. I currently have one offer for it, and have asked him if I could make that amount public. Either way... I could not get the cart to work. Does anyone else have any interest in this cart? I haven't been able to find it anywhere online to even begin to assess its value, rarity, or anything. I did have it on eBay but I figured that I would instead just reach out to the community here and personally sell it.
  5. Hi there. I'm posting my eBay ads here. Starting at .99c, I have no expectations and as I have been messaged about it, no plans to set a buyout or sell instantly through any other channels UNLESS YOU ARE LOCAL and there's no bids. I am located in Merritt Island, FL. I have an Atari 2600 Woodgrain CX 2600 with a set of paddles, joystick, and 10 games. http://www.ebay.com/itm/261499183806?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 A lot of broken, for parts or repair, games and controllers. The demo is no longer included in this lot. http://www.ebay.com/itm/261499208834?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 A Nintendo Game Boy Color (kiwi) with games and accessories. http://www.ebay.com/itm/261498944483?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 I will be posting, over the next weeks as I have time, both working and for parts lots of games, accessories, and consoles for the: NES, SNES, Sega, Dreamcast, N64, PS, PS2, Gamegear, Gamecube, and GBA. Thanks for looking, please let me know if there's something you're looking for and I'll get back to you as soon as possible on whether or not I have it and in what condition, as I would be willing to sell/ship personally if asked before I set up auctions.
  6. Actually, while I'm here I might as well ask about this demo I found. I looked it up and the only mention I could find was another thread on here that degraded into an argument about why the guy wouldn't tell them how much he bought it for at the thrift store... Anyway, a demo of Frogs and Flies. It was an untitled, cracked cart that had a disclaimer about keeping it on your person at all time, and in purple marker is 'Furutani' on the side, if that has any significance. Since I really wanted to know what was inside, I popped it open and there was a sticker on the inside that said Frogs and Flies. So, yay for that. I tried looking it up on Gamegavel but the site won't load. Anyone know anything more about this title?
  7. Thanks. lol So far the only issue is controller testing...feel like I'm gonna rip off the ports. And trying to figure out which system these mini-Atari-looking games go to. As for the other suggestions on parts, I'm not keeping the Atari, I just wanted it cleaned, tested, and explosion-less for selling.
  8. I found my Atari, with little to no knowledge about the system, and began Googling what I needed to get her up and running. Well, jeeze, that took freaking forever just to find a video to tell me I needed the power cord and the RF cord...well, after another HOUR of searching I finally found out that I have a European model or some such, CX-2600, which has a built in cable...so THAT'S what that black cord with no end is coming out of my Atari! ...crap, with no end... Another 20 minutes to find out that the inside of the Atari is, as expected, incredibly simple and the 'built in' RF cord is just the jack being on the inside. A PITA, yeah, but okay, I can work with that. 30 minutes to search through 15 bins to find the cable thingy part, a power supply that matched the right voltages (no original plug), and the RF cord. Now, I'm sitting with the image attached in the middle of my project room and I'm kinda wondering how safe this is. Most of this post was just to share with someone my awesome adventure, but I did have a question. Seriously, how safe is that? I want to test all my games which...eyeballing the stacks...20 some odd, oh, and the controllers...but I don't want to get electrocuted, the lid won't fit on with that RF cable, that RF goes directly into the splitter because I don't have one with an input (damn you PS2 and Madcatz!), and...I've read a lot about 'shielding' and such, so I really shouldn't leave it plugged in when I'm not using it as it's a fire hazard too, right? It works, though, so I'm super happy. The image is atrocious, but I'm not sure if that's because of my...set up and choice of available cords, or because of the visible rusting of the system and that it's going to explode any moment. Comments, thoughts? lol
