  1. Thank you. (I will also try to do it again with the RS232 card and RaveCard removed and only CorComp). I also have a TI FDC to test if needed).
  2. Same issues. Guess it is the ram issue...
  3. @mizapf @9640News @InsaneMultitasker @dhe @F.G. Kaal Removed batteries, reseated the card. Formatted also as full RamHD. 90% of time copying making directories goes okay with GDM2k at a certain point making a directory goes okay buy copying fails. Made a new directory and copying goes okay. (First I thought it had to do with filenames eg. Same directory name as filename). Tried to rename/delete/makedir the failing directory but still have the issues, so guess it is that ram part ("sectors") failing. So my guess is also a ram memory / hardware issue. But looking at the HRD3000 board the chance is very small it is hardware issue ? (just kidding).
  4. Never seen the board, but maybe this helps. @Tursi / harmlesslion Also in the Dutch TIjdingen magazine in 80's are instructions how to built 32K in the console. With help of the "Regio Zeeland" team i got my first 32K and then load assembly games via cassette player. (See my channel Youtube TI99VIDEOS for more details).
  5. Hi Beery, (Install from scratch). In the video at 12.53min I have the issue copying files. https://youtu.be/bxyKtVepHbM I will try tonight again copying by first taking out the batteries.
  6. I need to test more to figure out when I can copy and when not. Sometimes I can copy to a new directory and sometimes not (or only 1 file) and it gives errors. I used both GDM2K v3.1 and v3.2 Sometimes cannot copy to the root, but can copy in the directory. Maybe I remove the batteries one more time, to clean the memory and reseat the Horizon. Or maybe take out all cards first and see if i can copy between gotek and 3.5 floppies first. (The Geneve card itself has eprom non-gen mod 1.00).
  7. Thank you. This works with Rave speech inserted in PEB. (I tested first with Abasic. CALL SAY ("HELLO"). One test with and other without card.
  8. OSSC device . And made my own DB9 to SCART cable. Then HDMI out to display. Comes with remote control and many config. Options. Very sharp output.
  9. It looks like to do with subdirectories. Also GDM2K gives the error, but not when copying to the root directory. (Fyi - to makedir in GDM2K use F8. It is not documented in the online Help) Same for the command prompt it gives the error copying to the directory, but not to the root. I have not explored all options, but normally I can copy files to directories with wildcards.
  10. Thanks for pointing to the MEMTEST program, i was searching for somehing like this. It stops at >BC and then locks up. With the RaveSpeech card in it. (I need to do the modifications as described in the other post) With the card removed it completes the memtest.
  11. Hi @InsaneMultitasker I was wondering how do you get the >1600 Horizon/RAMBO displayed? (because mine only shows the Horizon 16-bit, but it has the 504K RAMBO installed or maybe it is not detected in Gencfg? (on a TI with ROS 8.34 I can detect it)
  12. It looks like to do with the \ in the directory structure. I am trying to copy a series of files lile XBEA, XBEA1, XBEA2, etc. From A: to he HRD (thats why I thought about the Corcomp Controller, not sure as there were some issues with GenCfg and this type of controller detection). But normally I can copy all the files. Eg. This time it went okay for Ram-HD, but not for Ram- Dsk. You mentioned there is a limit of 3 directories not sure if it relates to that. In my Geneve box I do not have a TIPI (only in my other box). I do have the Rave Speech, maybe I should pull that one out? The Size of he HRD i am not sure. It shows 1568K in the screenshot 3200 for Ramdsk 3062 for ramhd. It is on CRU >1400 (Extra info. This is the video when the card was in my TI setup. https://youtu.be/m1nxcHhjQuwi It is with Rambo 504K, but Gencfg 1.2 somehow does not see Rambo?). I do not have gencfg 1.3to validate (as i saw some screenshots in the other forum someone having a Rambo part, so was wondering why i do not see it in gencfg, but i saw it on the TI with ROS 8.34
  13. Not sure why it did not work before, but I just tested it again and it is working now in both XB and EA to load from SCS4.filename or SCS4.directory.filename and also in programs and DM2K. Problem2: (But after a while copying some files i get bad destination errors when copying to the HRD, it happened to the RAM-HD then i reformatted it completely and also it happened on RAM-DSK, maybe related to the disk controller? Or memory problems maybe, is there a memory test program for HRD3000 on Geneve?)
  14. They optimized the space. Same upper part here is missing for the d and b. Press reao or oack.
  15. @InsaneMultitasker With GENCFG is it possible to format the complete Horizon disk to a RAM-DSK format? (or are there max. size limitations?) because then I can do the mapping to a DSKx device. If I am correct RAM-HD can handle a larger disk size. (but cannot do the DSKx device mapping).
  16. SCSMAP 48 ASSIGN F=SCS4: (I tried also REMAP 3N (for Horizon 16 bit) and just in case REMAP 3F (for Horizon 8 bit), but my card indicates 16-bit in GENCFG. When doing a dir DSK3 in MDOS command prompt it only shows the RAM-DSK (not the HD) when using GPL (the main screen to load modules, etc.) I can use SCS4. to load programs from the RAM-HD, that works. (then I tried with F5 w/ROMPAGE and also the normal way) but once in Extended Basic or EA, I cannot load files from SCS4. * (e.g. using device OLD SCS4.filename or OLD SCS4.directory.filename) * or use EA option 3 or 5 to SCS4.filename I think that XB and EA only allow DSKx access? (sometimes max. to 3), that's why I want to map RAM-HD = SCS4 to a DSK3 device (as I have A: / DSK1. for my Gotek drive and B: / DSK2. for my 3.5 floppy drive and E: / DSK6. for RAM-DSK)
  17. Moving the MDOS 7.3 and GPL versions to this forum as suggested. (here is the GPL 6.50 version of GPL I am using to compare - DSKA0001_Myarcboot.dsk ) I saw some differences in GPL for both MDOS 7.30 GPL and MYGPL use lowercase characters. Parsec does not display the full character. Press tire....to begin. Also GPL shows 2x meteroites on the right top corner when crashing, but MYGPL and GPL650 do not. Furthermore Ships, LIFT, Top, arrow are displayed in blue colour. Gpl650 shows White. For pictures and reply see here: I had a chance to load GPL 7.30 with a PARSEC cart dump from my Geneve folder; 'tire' and 'begin' are wrong and that big "T" stands out. My copy of GPL 5.00 exhibits the same patterns and colors. I found an old GPL version 1.04 that did the same thing and another 1.04 that shows the uppercase lower character set but the ships, lift, top and fuel, and arrow are blue. When I crash, I get 1-2 ships or asteroids. Speed 5 is WAY too fast. Please post your various versions in the 7.30 thread and I'll compare to my files as time permits. I don't know that I ever played Parsec on the Geneve - there may have been good/bad cart dumps. Still conjecture but I wanted to at least let you know it's not your hardware.
  18. Just wondering if the Rave99 adapter card will still work in a normal TI-99/4A + PEB configuration after doing the changes? I cleaned up the file for Wordpad, but need to study it. I noticed sometimes I have to re-seat the Speech card in the box if it is not working (and I also see scrambled characters in the GPL startup page once in a while, not sure if it is related). Now I have the Geneve 9640 in a stable mode (after 1.5 years) and happy with MDOS 7.30 on it GENEVEBC-Rave99SpeechCardModForGeneve9640.TXT Rave99 card in action in a normal TI-99/4A system setup:
  19. Thank you! Re1a: window changed to 0 Re1b: in the command line used -nokeepaspect (to stretch it out over the whole screen and remove the black side borders) Re2: I changed the uimodekey to F2 (as on most PC's this is the key to get into the "BIOS") mame.ini and another batch file to start in -window mode geneve-startinwindow.bat geneve-fullscreen-nokeepaspect.bat geneve-fullscreen-nokeepaspect
  20. Is it possible to map the Horizon RamHD to DSKx. ? Like DSK3 or so that it can be accessed from TImode GPL like in extended basic or EA? with remap 3N or 3F I can only map the RamDSK not the RamHD?
  21. (Not sure for this forum) But i saw some differences in GPL. MDOS 7.30 GPL and MYGPL use lowercase characters.
  22. (I forgot) after the ASSIGN E=DSK6: it works now. Gencfg (after 1st run) and quit, gives the device A: error, after the reboot it is okay to access A: Question: How do I map and access the RAMHD (Harddisk) allocation on the HRD3000? Found it add in autoexec. For HRD on CRU >1400 SCSMAP 48 ASSIGN F=SCS4: (and to use in GPL to load modules SCS4.filename (or SCS4.directory.filename)
  23. It would be good to pin this video to the 1st post (as each time I am searching for it when changing PC ? how to do it again) Just re-installed it via this procedure, now MDOS 7.30 is running in MAME! Question: 1* How can I get MAME in full screen view in Windows 10-64 bit ? 2* how do I get in the other menu with dip-switches, etc. (TAB does not work and ~ neither) and I vaguely remember to press the BREAK key, but I do not have this on my computer and the onscreen keyboard the PAUSE key (which is PAUSE/BREAK does not work either) but according my video it is SCRL LOCK and TAB key (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBaD-EhA0QY&t=657s
