It runs setting perfect with VDMSound und FV Setting.
Debugger doesn't work in the Beta, right?
DEMO version of EMUAPC has not debugger.
Information about debugger (list of features) and about full commercial version of EMUAPC will be available at: www.komires.com

I Set it to quadruple without success, VDMSound works much better in Soundquality and performance.
But still fine scrolling isn't that fine, some flicker in it.
It runs perfect without sound...
1. EMUAPC without sound is synchronized to FV (vertical blank frequency)
of PC screen.
(option "synchronization" is ignored)
PC screen resolutions (with FV) are:
320x240 FV=59.7Hz
360x240 FV=60.0Hz
360x270 FV=53.9Hz
2. EMUAPC with sound is synchronized to FV of PC or 50Hz
(option "synchronization" is not ignored)
Option "Synchronization":
You may choose following arguments:
FV - synchronization to vertical blank frequency of PC screen
or
50hz - synchronization to 50hz
Default value is 50hz.
When synchronization is 50Hz scrolling isn't fine (some flicker in it)
becouse 50Hz not equal FV. Sound playback speed and emulation
speed are equal 50Hz (real Atari (PAL) speed).
When synchronization is FV scrolling should be fine (It is depended
from OS and its performans for DOS applications - try set
sound buffer option to quadruple for XP).
Sound playback speed and emulation speed are faster then real Atari
(PAL) speed becouse FV>50Hz.
Try set PC screen resolution equal 360x270 (FV=53.9Hz) differences
will be smallest (3.9Hz only).

Just tested it and hey, it runs damn smooth ....
But only if sound isn't enabled
This soundblaster only thing isn't that cool; sound output on my audigy 2 is very poor, also I had a bad performance decrease with sound.
But this vsync makes the different, really like it.
Good work so far
Matthias
Did You test EMUAPC version 0.92?
Could You give me information about Your OS, RAM size and CPU speed?
Try change sound buffer option to quadruple.
Can You use Sound Blaster emulator (VDMSound) with Sound Blaster card ? It should be possible for DOS application like EMUAPC.

Shawn Jefferson:
If you assume that we have free will, then all futures are possible even those that are not perfect.
You misunderstood me. My sentence was used in other context.

The problem isn’t that
are there specific programs that do not function correctly in current free emulators but do in yours because of these abilities?
What programs are these?
I guess without specific examples of application it is hard for me to grasp.
The problem is how these abilities were implemented in current free and non-free emulators.
For instance:
User run game with pokey interrupts, can play but listen improper digital sound. Does this game function correctly or doesn’t ?
EMUAPC gives users perfectly emulation of these abilities.
Additional, perception of Atari programs running under EMUAPC is excellent. This is not only our opinion but users of EMUAPC, too.
EMUAPC core was written for the KOMIRES Sp. z o.o. by Slawomir Koziol when he was employee of KOMIRES Sp. z o.o. Management of the KOMIRES decided that this product will not be free.
Perhaps there is some forum that discusses what this emulator can do and how it benefits people? In more detail.
Komires website has not forum but forum will be in the future.

>I guess the real question is you have to give people a reason to want to
>buy it.
In our opinion EMUAPC is 'like real atari',
is very friendly for users
and some existing futures are unique
and all futures are perfectly done.
EMUAPC has very complete (great) emulation of:
- fast bank switching for CPU and ANTIC;
- music and digi-sound;
- disk loading system;
- pokey interrupts (cycle-exact);
Many users share this opinion.
We got a lot of emails where people want to buy it, now!
> What advantage does it have over the free emulators out there?
>Regardless of the amount of work put into it, that don't mean squat if
>there are better freely available emulators.
All advantages commercial version of EMUAPC will be released in conjunction with the publishing of EMUAPC DEMO 1.0.
The real question is why anyone free atari emulator has not perfect all futures.

>miko... will you changing the scanline emulation into cycle exact >emulation?
Today J can say "J don't know"
> the best debugger imho is useless if the overall emulation is just 80%...
J disagree with You, in my opinion scanline is just 99% cycle exact is only 1%.
You can disagree with me, ofcoz
>so i would still code on atari800win...
OK, atari800win is very good emulator
but code on atari800win is very hard work, today
Goochman:
>1.0 will be comercial?
Yes it will be,
But will be (free under license) EMUAPC 1.0 DEMO version
>Curious what the benefits of this will be over AtariWin3.1+?
EMUAPC 1.0 will be very good emulator, too
>Id be hard pressed to pay for an 800 emulator when AtariWin works
>pretty darn good.
EMUAPC is original Polish project. Emulator core was written by one person my brother Slawomir Koziol. It was very hard work and some costs and becouse it can't be free

>emu runs on my XP home machine,P3, SB compatible but i guess
>intelsoundchip on board... but i can not run it with sound... so actually i
>don't know how really good the sound emulation is...
Run EMUAPC under VDMSound (You can download VDMSound from: http://ntvdm.cjb.net/ )
>what about GTIA bus, what about emkay's game amirandus? (haven't
>the chance to test it...) what about cycle exact reposition of registers? as
>coder i would be interested in the debugger... is there a demo version of
>that emulator version available?
>i ment GTIA modes like HIP,TIP,RIP etc...
EMUAPC has full GTIA emulation. (PM graph in GTIA is not perfect but PM graph will be improve)
Cycle exact reposition of registers and visual effects incrementation/decrementation of hardware color registers are not implemented. EMUAPC version 0.92 is scanline emulator.
Wonderful debugger will be in full version of EMUAPC 1.0 only (commercial). Information about debugger will be available at www.komires.com

The EMUAPC 0.92 was sucessfully tested under XP.
Can You run others DOS emulators?
Could You tell me more about Your system (XP home or XP prof), have You anti-virus soft., etc.
Scan Your system against viruses,
Download emuapc92.zip again,
Unzip EMUAPC with WinRAR,
Close (if You have active) antivirus guard,
Run emulator.

New version of EMUAPC (0.92) is available at: http://www.komires.com
main changes:
- Improved sound and keyboard initialization
The DOS version of EMUAPC works
with real DOS, Win 95/98/Me/NT/2K/XP
and Sound Blaster emulators for instance VDMSound;
- New option 'sound buffer' added;
- PC joystick support added;
- New option 'calibrate joystick' added;
- Fast cache added to the file decompressor;
- Function key Ctrl+PrintScrn changed to Ctrl+F2.
Emulator EMUAPC DEMO emulates banks switching (CPU and ANTIC) like real Atari, full sounds with noise and cycle-exact POKEY interrupts in real time (wonderful digi sound).
