Oh, These two ads were in the package as well, I don't think it is anything special but I scanned them anyway incase anyone wanted them. I saved them as two files but they were both on each side of the same page.

Thank you. The only other thing I have to do is dump the rom. I was hope to not have to peel off the label does anyone have an idea on what model eprom it is so I can dump it? -
For posterity, did you upload this to archive.org as well?
No I didn’t get a chance to upload any of the stuff yet. Feel free. -
Here is the ATR manual. I don't think anything different or new is in it. just a later revision.

Hey All,
I recently acquired an ATR-8000, with all kinds of goodies and in the instruction manual there was a bunch of extra stuff. One of the items was a MyDos 3.0 user guide. I don't know how available this is, but I scanned it anyway for my own files. Here it is if you would like it.
There were a few other items in the bunch, I will work on scanning that stuff in the coming days.
Enjoy!

I got down to test the new ATR. CP/M works!!!!
I did notice that when I boot up the CP/M disk the head clicks twice before booting. Where the ATR that won’t boot CP/M doesn’t display this behavior. So maybe my 1797 chips are still somewhat faulty. I am going to do some chip swapping in the coming weeks to see if I can narrow down what is wrong with the original ATR.
Anyway, I looked at the manual and it seems to be a little different than the original manual and the manual online. So I will get around to scanning it. But I took a pic of the 8inch SWP disks and the one page of the manual that is different.
oh and there also was an SWP typed my dos manual. I can scan that too if anyone is interested.

I got another ATR from a fellow AtariAger.
Nothing groundbreaking. It is a true 64k model. But what was so cool is it came with 8 inch SWP CP/M disks! No I am not crazy and going to start searching out for 8 inch drives but it is really cool to have official SWP disks. Below are the pics of the board. Nothing new here but the offset rom chip. Version 3.02+. I am assuming this is just the standard 3.02 version. If I can dump it without removing the label I will post it for your viewing.
I haven’t gotten a chance to test it yet, hopefully in the next few days.
Also it seems to use a different type of memory chips.-

I bought an ATR-8000 from Adam. He gave me a fair price and did a superb job of packing and shipping. Great communication. I would not hesitate dealing with him in the future. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Hell, I have an 'untested' ATR8000 that I'd let go for half what that one went for. Mine still has the owner's manual and at least worked a few years ago.. used it to run 3.5" drives a while back but has been sitting on a shelf for years.
I’ll take that offer if it is still available. You can pm me. -
Just catching up a bit.
The bad memory on my 130xe made no change.
I broke down and bought one of those 4164 memory chip testers.
The new chips I got all tested good. I haven’t tested the original chips yet. (I just cleaned up my desk again lol). But I had tried to boot the cp/m disks I got from Jeff with those new chips a while back and end with the same result.
So I am still looking for a fix from time to time. -
Were you able to figure out what those other rom chips did? I think it is the chip in U46.
-
Count me in. Would it be a drop in replacement for the original board or will you be producing the metal case too? Either or count me in.

Cool. What should the config.sys file have in it?
-
I know in order to use fdisk extended memory is needed. But is there a hack to run that on a stock 64k machine?

Going going GONE!

I will take it.
Pm me and we will work something out. -

Good news! I got an 800xl and the side2 works! I did order a Hong Kong 800xl. Most of the chips are socketed except the ones for the ultimate 1 Meg. Doh! Well at least I have the side2 working!
Thanks for the help!-

Hey guys,
I have. Bunch of excess stuff I got in a lot I bought. To my knowledge nothing works. I really don’t want to break it up and sell it as a lot. Otherwise I am afraid I may have to take it to the recycler. (I am running out of room)
400 Computer
410 Tape Drive
Ape Face Interface
MPP modem
Koala Pad
Light Pen
Joysticks
4 port joystick tap.
I am winning to give this away to anyone that wants to pay the shipping.

What is wrong with your current Atari? and which flavour is it? a syscheck from tf_hh might help with your ram issues, it can be used as an OS/RAM upgrade as well as a syscheck
There is definitely something wrong in the ram department. It didn’t show its face until I started working with the side2 cart. I may eventually work on it but I think it is probably a better idea to get another Atari just so I have a backup. Hell, I only paid around $50 for the xe a few years ago.-

ATR-8000 (and other) CP/M System disks here
in Atari 8-Bit Computers

Just for the record. The CP/M manual that I got with the new ATR is the same one online and the same one I got with my original ATR, so I didn’t bother scanning that.
If anyone really wants it scanned I can scan it but I think it is identical to all the SWP CP/M manuals floating around the net.
