I have 2 original GBA's modded with back-lit screens as that is my favorite GBA version. I never liked the SP much as i dont feel its as comfortable to hold. My hands aren't huge either.

I would say: Seller, I went to put batteries in this and there were already some in there that had leaked all over. I would like to return this to you for a refund.

He did end up getting a real one. I was not recommending it, but I do have one. He just asked where to get it cheaper.

Just want to point out that nowhere in this thread did anyone suggest not buying an everdrive from an authorized retailer. The link i put to Aliexpress was for the GB Boy Colour which would come from China no matter who you bought it from. Maybe I should have quoted the previous post, where it was asked where to get one cheaper, as people did not look at the links.

they must have only been powering it from an AC adapter. Most likely they knew about the batteries. I would return it as the battery tabs are corroded and probably will fall apart soon. You can get a reconditioned one from Best Electronics for about $30 more than you paid for that one and know it will be in good shape.

Do you have a multimeter? You can test the power supply very easily with one to see if its outputting. I have a GB Boy colour. I like it, but the incorrect aspect ratio on the screen seems to drive some people crazy. That is about the only thing they got wrong.

Not really odd just the Genesis and SNES have different video encoders. If you look at the pics on that page you linked to, they have it plugged into a Turbografx and also a PC Engine.

you need to amplify the RGB signal on a PC Engine or TG16 which is what most of those components are for.

You can get brand new ones still from a few different places cause no one wanted them. There are no sources with large numbers of new NTSC Turbografx systems still available.

that makes sense. i remember calling it a PSX too and had no idea why either.

It sucks when the shipping price is almost 10x what the price of the part is! It should be right if you verified the footprint was the same.
