you have to convert the mp3s to wav. follow this guide:
http://www.epforums.org/showthread.php?23390-Sega-Mega-CD-Burning-ISO-s-Guide
edit:
im actually not sure I understand your question, so that might not be what you were looking for.

Can anyone please help me get one of these that knows about these as I don't know a good place that sells in the USA? Thanks.
there are a few options here:
http://shoptemp.net/products/EZ%252dFlash-IV.html
this is gba temp's store portal. Has some reviews on stores you can check

look at yours and compare to the data sheets. my best guess is this would be the right one:
I am about 99% sure its right size (EIAJ-03). This would be if the OD of the connector is 4.75mm and not 4.0mm. If you have something you can measure the plug on the power adapter with to verify you can be certain. I should have measured mine this morning when I was home, but i forgot.
edit:
Found this which verifies the EIAJ-03 size

One of these should be correct (EIAJ-03 size)
http://www.mouser.com/Connectors/Power-Connectors/DC-Power-Connectors/_/N-axitt?P=1z0wxcvZ1z0wxc9
Although I have seen some people say that it is EIAJ-02 size so im not 100% sure, but i think that EIAJ-03 is correct.

I tried to put the one CD-i movie I have (Patriot Games) in my Windows 7 PC to see if it would work. The disc drive does not even recognize there is a disc inserted.

I think everyone bought up all their bare boards to put in the translucent shells

So is there a website where we can buy the items? How many thousands of units do we need to buy if we order direct from the manufacturer? Just because someone can manufacture it for you does the small project hobbiest little good when most would only buy one or two parts.
Show me a website or an order form for these products with cheap shipping and a minimum quantity of one. I would love to build a custom N64 joystick.
So far all I've found is one solution from Happ that cost like $170, and HAL effect or optics joysticks with a USB yolk that's only good for MAME/PC and not homebrew console controller projects.
They arent cheap but here:
http://www.mouser.com/Apem/Electromechanical/Industrial-Automation/Input-Devices/_/N-5g20?P=1z0zlgk
They have them listed as APEM and not CH Products, but its the same company

bump. 18 amps assembled and ready to ship. Not sure if i'm going to build anymore after these.

Cool, thanks for that info. I've had great luck on all systems with Taiyo Yuden discs. Do you plug your systems directly into the outlet/power strip, or do you use a stepdown transformer to bring the voltage down to 100v?
I just use the 100v supplies in the US.
Yeah, those should work. I think those are the same ones I have with the shiny top.
-
I have a briefcase and a few duos. All of them read cdrs fine. Just use Tayio yuden discs and they shoud read fine. If not, your system might need a pot adjustment or new lens.
-
Oh F**K YES!! That settles it, getting a CD unit

The cd side is not region locked either like the HuCard side, which is nice too.
-
Woah, that looks freakin sweeeeet!
Man, I just checked a bunch of CD prices and woah, big jump from the Hucards. I think I'll just start with cards...even though some of those CD games look like MUST haves!
The cds do not have copy protection. Not that I am advocating running burned discs or anything.

Man, I'm getting pumped up now
Thanks for all the advice guys! As far as mods go...I'm sure I'm "capable" of doing them but I just know I would never get around to it. Kind of like working on my car, when my manifold warped last year I "could" have done it myself but when my buddy offered to do it for $100 I was like "yup, where do I sign!"
The CD is tempting, if anything just for Strider alone. I love that game and the PC engine version looks damn good!
I do love shmups, I mostly play newer CAVE stuff these days but I think a lot of those 16 bit shooters really shined. I will never forget the roots!
1943 is one of my favorites, I watched a gameplay video and was a little bummed at how different the music was, thats one of the best parts. How's the price on the shooters? I know for other systems they have just been skyrocketing lately...I saw this system on dabay that looks tempting...
Looks like it's been modded with a swith to play JP/US games and also upgraded to AV. What do you think? Price seems reasonable and it sounds like I need to track down a six button controller anyways...
So... if I get that white system above can I still attach a CD unit to it or do I have to get a core grafx system? Also is there any benefit to owning a Supergrafx outside of being able to play 1941 and being a huge GnG fan? (I actually own the supergrafx GnG just because I buy everything to do with that series, lol) Oh, almost forgot...if I did go the Supergrafx route, can a CD unit still be attached to it or an I limited to Hucards forever?
Thanks again everyone, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger

you can connect a cd unit to the white one or the supergrafx. you need an adapter to connect the supergrafx to a cd interface unit (briefcase) though as it doesnt physically fit in it. I think there are only 4 games for the supergrafx and 2 more that are enhanced when using them on it. probably not worth the extra cost. I bought a broken one cheap and fixed it, but probably would not have otherwise.
gamedrhk is fine. here is there website:

Ah ok, I was wondering why none of the white systems had AV cables with them. I take it the white ones were RF only? Thanks for the tip, I probably would have bought a white one because they seem to be a little cheaper, then realized it doesn't have AV and would be stuck with it (I just can't do RF anymore, even all my pre crash systems are modded now)
I don't mind buying the cards, I'm more of a collector really. I like the "hunt"
The loose cards all seem to be pretty reasonable, I've never been a big fan of jewel cases anyways
Yeah, like Catpix said above, the white PCE and the TG16 only have RF out. There are addons though and can be modded for AV output so you would not have been completely out of luck with one.
If you dont want an everdrive, I would suggest you get your console with a region switch or pick up a convertor like this:
http://www.db-elec.com/home/products/turbo-pc-henshin
That way you are not limiting yourself to one regions library.

Just pick up a coregrafx or coregrafx II and an everdrive. Those 2 models have av out so no need to worry about crappy RF. With an everdrive, you can play all US and JPN games.

you got lucky!

hope the 1st thing you did was renew your insurance. Renters insurance saved me once when my apartment was burgled years ago. I was not lucky enough to get my stuff back. Renters insurance was basically free with my auto insurance so no reason not to have it. Homeowners insurance is a bit more costly though unfortunately.

Will a Jaguar adapter work with the Model 1?
yes
-
is it even possible to order 3dO usb or sd cart mods anymore?
You can try to order directly from mnemo. His webpage shows he has the 3do adapters available
-
bump. back from vacation. console still available and plenty of amps/cables ready to ship.
-
You can convert the pal turbo into a NTSC fairly easily. Thesteve over on pcenginefx forum posted a tutorial on how to do it.

haha. I just looked at the facebook page. they recently put up pics of rendered models of the cart shell. doesn't look like they are planning on changing the jaguar molds much, if at all. I figured at least they would change up the carts.

Ive heard, not sure if its true though, that the -RXs dont yellow like the -Rs do.

Can you burn Sega CD games with one iso?
in Sega Genesis
Posted
burn it and see what happens. worse thing that can happen is you waste a disc, but if it works in an emulator its probably fine. maybe it was ripped made with a different method. The reason those rips have audio converted to mp3s was to keep them smaller. I have some rips that are bin/cue files that work fine when burned.
