It gets unreliable and prone to resetting back to player 1 without reaching other players. The issue is a missing $0.05 capacitor on the tap itself. Adding one helps clean the important timing signal and make it reliably read and send data from all 5 ports. I'll have to look on PCE forum to find the thread and copy the detail over since their forum are not readable by guests and not everyone is going to sign up for forum just to read one post.
Not sure if this is the same, but smokemonster says it doesnt work very well in this thread:

They should be able to be unlocked to use on another GSM carrier:

unless you were wanting a CDMA one.

I am super ocd about organization. I spent several hours doing this with my colecovision roms so looking forward to another round with the tg16.
Now I'm hunting for a turbo express as well. They more affordable ones on eBay all seem to have sound issues. I'm wondering if a good re-capping would solve that. I also found the guy who does the 3.5 LCD mod and av out. He seems busy but the mods look awesome!
Yes, the sound issue is bad caps. If you get one that has not had the caps replaced, you should just do them all.

Update 1/6/18:
output resistor values updated. see here:Prices are for items shipped inside of the USA. Other countries may have additional shipping cost. Payment accepted via paypal. Please do not add a note in paypal mentioning anything about mods or similar terminology.
Amp now has a THS7374 (with LPF bypassed) for amplification instead of a THS7314. THS7374 produces a sharper image than the THS7314. Also, most other amps for sale do not account for the non standard output of the PC Engine/TG16 and will have too bight of an output with washed out colors. This amp has proper output resistance and the display device will see it as 75 ohms. The amp comes with a piece of double side tape attached to the bottom.
Also available is sync stripper add-on board. Board outputs 75 ohm sync.
amp only = $20 shipped
amp + connector + euro scart cable = $40 shipped
amp + sync strip add-on + connector + euro scart cable + $44 shipped
Amp includes 2 4.7uf ceramic caps at no extra charge in case you want to do Viletim's jailbar fix.

Available are PCB mount 8 pin DIN (RGB pins pre trimmed and labeled) for consoles like the CoreGrafx, Turbo Duo, etc.. or circular panel mount 8 pin DIN for IFU-30, Tennokoe 2, etc...
Panel Mount's data sheet with dimensions: http://www.cui.com/product/resource/sd-xxls-series.pdf
mmmonkey has a good guide on how to install the PCB mount jack:
http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/core-grafx-rgb-mod/
I can also make the cable JP21 upon request. Also can make an 8 pin mini din cable upon request, but there is not much demand for those so not going to keep any premade after I run out of what I have made already.
Here are a few pics of the amp (old style but new one is the same size) installed in a console:

Consoles (Prices for consoles are shipped inside the USA). If you need a region switch, one can be installed in any console I am selling for an extra cost.
RGB Tennokoe 2 - comes with scart cable.
Has had a DIN 8 and AV jacks added to the back. Expansion port has been trimmed so it will also work on a TG16 as well as PC Engine systems. Saving tested and verified working. Have minor scuffs and scratches. All have the battery cover, but one had the clip part of the cover almost broken off so a bit of epoxy was added to it.
Asking $75 each shipped in the USA (1 available)

I wonder how many were bought to insert a board, and sell on ebay. will be interesting to see in the next few weeks how many pop up.
I debated getting one, but i was thinking it would be hard to keep looking good and not be a dust trap.

Correct me If I'm wrong but doesn't dreamshell have issues with some games? Lag related issues? From what I understand this board doesn't need dreamshell to load your owned games from the SD card meaning the games will load without issues. Also there would be no more worries over the rom drive dying on you. If all that is true then to me it's worth the money just to avoid the wear and tear on our console and I'll probably skip the serial port SD card reader and dreamshell cd to boot.
This uses a USB hard drive or flash drive, not an sd card (that device is the GDEMU). You do not need dreamshell though for it. This device runs off the same bus the GD-ROM does so it is much faster than the previous sd card dreamshell solution that runs off the slow serial bus.

I glued it in and didn't use the nut. Not really the proper way to do it but it worked.

I mounted my connectors there and used the s-video connector that came with the kit. It was a tight squeeze though.
Game-Tech-US also did this recently in a video:
Your connector is probably easier to install though.

I guess they are withholding more information until they launch the kickstarter. I am wondering how this is going to be distributed after the initial kickstarter. That is if the kickstarter even gets to its goal as there seems to be little enthusiasm for this console. Will it be available in stores, online only though their own website, etc.
-
I would like 2 of the flashback knobs also. thanks.
-
Is the one in the picture the one that you bought? The intellivision one looks very similar (90 deg plug on the cable instead of straight). If it is the one in the pic, then it looks like it is a colecovision one.

Hmm, I see a corner of a white jaguar case, but that's what was previously offered by the dental folks? Intrigued for what the "new purpose" might be.
Here is a link with more info about the "new purpose":

The console works perfectly on my Sony BVM also. So there are no issues running it on an rgb monitor as well as a scaler.

The 2 I have left that I originally bought, all have descent sticks still. I have bought a couple used ones recently that were loose. I think people push on the too hard when they get excited and that is what messes them up.

it has R,G,B, and both H and V sync. It will be 15khz. Not sure it will work though.
