So I don't see anything sticking out the back like it did at the toy fair and hard to see, but I don't see the metal trim around the cart port.
they need to show the back
there doesnt seem to be a cable connecting to the tv either. there is some white cable coming from somewhere on the right though. probably whatever is supplying the video

they finally updated the page. clear shell with what looks like a dev board in it

I'm still not convinced that they have been deleting comments this afternoon, here's a few that have been up for a few hours:
There have been a lot more that are missing now. If you sort them by "most recent" you will see the times dont match up right. I have refreshed the page quite a few times and have seen tons of them disappear.

That name is familiar ... isn't he the same guy who posted that seventeen-second "there you have it, it's for real, it's a thing" video from Toy Fair? The video that was supposed to reassure everybody that their "prototype" wasn't a fake?
(EDIT: mickcris just posted the same video! I knew I'd seen that name before!)
Yeah ... I don't believe a word. I think this is just a way for them to buy more time, and then regroup with a better plan or slink away silently after the heat is off.
It was probably the best "out" they had. If it is for real though, its a good thing too for potential backers that might have lost money on Kickstarter. But not sure why they would have waited till after the kickstarter was supposed start to announce it (which isnt really official yet anyways).

looks like he works for retro magazine
think he was the one on the retro podcast that admitted it was the back of an SNES in the prototype

David Giltinan (@DaGiltyMan) tweeted at 3:01 PM on Fri, Feb 26, 2016:
@driph Plan has changed actually. Got the call that we won't need to go the crowdsourcing route. More info will be at @RETROVGS and FB page.

Sounds like they found their way out without admitting or having to admit guilt of the fake prototype. I have doubts as to weather or not this is actually going to be legit or just the excuse they came up with.

If this is dead, I dont understand why they are still bothering to delete comments from their facebook page. Unless they have paid some company to do that and they were paid till the end of the month or something.

Maybe he forgot this was a leap year and meant tomorrow

they should say something then. even their supporters seem to be getting antsy. they are deleting comments from their facebook page so they could type a message on there if they wanted to.

I bet they are in last minute negotiations as Indegogo is maybe still trying to court them and has possibly made them an offer they cant refuse.

I replied to that comment and then deleted my own reply, which explains at least 1 of them. Facebook's comment system is pretty broken, I wouldn't read to much into it.
I was looking at them about an hour ago and there are about 20 or so that disappeared that i noticed. I doubt all of that was self deleted. It was mostly the replies that were pretty negative.
and i looked again at that comment thread and now it shows 3 when you click not 4. so the other 2 were probably deleted by them.
-
People can delete their own Facebook comments, which also deletes all replies. I think the Facebook page is more likely to disappear completely than be moderated today.
yeah, i dont think thats whats happening though as it does not explain this:

then when you click on "1 reply" for a split second it shows this

then it shows only 1 reply

-
The worse of all is that no Facebook comments are being deleted. There's something really serious going on. Something has changed.
I was wrong when I thought that they had deleted a couple earlier, but i'm pretty sure they have started deleting some now. There were a bunch of posts by an Alan Davies that were pretty negative and some others that have disappeared.
-
yeah. its not coming today. under the "stickied" post on their facebook page I saw a couple people asking when it was going live and they deleted the comments.
edit:
Not sure why but those posts I saw are back so maybe they did not delete them. Still don't think its coming today.

I wonder what the excuse will be if the kickstarter does not launch today.

This is just my opinion and I wanted to share it, I am in no way trying to inflame anyone here on this board, I really do respect everyone's opinion here.
I have been following this saga for some time now, ever since the Retro version. I am actually looking forward to seeing how this is going to turn out due to this environment, its very interesting.
I originally was quite interested in this console, but the more I heard about it, the more suspicious I became.
However, having said that there is a point / observation I wanted to make.
I have worked in the video game industry for around 8 years before opening my classic game store back in 2007. I used to work for Sony and for IGN GameSpy.
Here is an observation I have made while attending E3's over the years, GDC's, and developer symposiums..
It is not all that unprecedented for a video game company to use hardware other than theirs during development.
Sony utilized a big "pyramid" hiding its contents at E3 with only a controller wire coming out of it showing off the PS2 before it was still early in development. In reality it was just a PC people were playing on. It wasn't until the next E3 did people actually see the hardware.
In Coleco chameleon case, it really looks like they used a mini SNES.. and it appears that Mike is saying they made changes to the board and cannot show it. All of that is may or may not be true, but my point is that this practice of using other hardware is not all that unusual. Would people have felt better if they were using a PC?
I watched those videos of those guys on mics bashing the console for a bunch of valid reasons I can agree with. They made one point however that I wanted to discuss and that the chameleon is only supposed to come with a few games per cart... as opposed to what? The entire library? I am not sure this personally makes sense to me. I don't remember my friends telling me their Xbox One or Playstation 4 came with any games, much less 6 to 15. Would l like more games to come with the Coleco? Sure, I would love the entire library, but I realize that may not be feasible for a litany of reasons.
As far as I am concerned I am going to wait to see the final version (if there is one) before I throw any stones and see what they have. I am afraid there is a lot of angry people who would like to lynch the company right now. Maybe I missed something but did any of these angry bloodthirsty people invest and lose money in this? Are these people just acting like public defenders and trying to take down the company before consumers can make up their own minds? There a tons of good and terrible products out there and I am sure many of us have both of those types in our collections but this is ok. People like to buy things and if this thing ever comes out, it will just be another option for people to consider and either buy or not buy.
People like to think talk is everything but in the end we all vote with our wallet.
I personally am going to wait to see what they finally have and then decide if it something I am interested in buying.
Of course these are just my opinions and I am in no way trying to flame anyone else opinions here, who I really do respect.
As others have pointed out, Sony was not asking for people to buy the console before it was made. They only took money for the product after it was completed. Who knows if a system will ever come out as it looks like they have no idea how to actually make one from what they have shown so far.

Wow ... even Mike would have to pony up and subscribe (finally, after using AtariAge for years as a place to pimp his projects for free), just to keep up with what everyone is saying!
I don't think it should be done, though. Prospective Kickstarter backers and other concerned parties need access to the information in threads like this one, and they won't see it if it's behind a pay wall.
I think everyone would just move to the thread in the classic gaming section. Or open a new thread. Not that I think Albert would do this in the 1st place.

There should be a diagram on the power supply showing it. A + and - sign and then showing witch is connected to the tip. I'm on my phone so can't post a picture.
Edit:
See here

Did you make sure the polarity was correct at the tip? Center negative or center positive? Plugging in the wrong one can cause damage.
