They had to fit through the holes then. No way he would have risked someone seeing what was inside the jag. He is pretty sneaky though so maybe he opened it without anyone seeing. Edit Sorry I had missed your post earlier where you said the same as above

The bottom of the box was open though. More than enough slack in the cables to move the box out of the way. I'm sure piko saw would have seen this when they popped in his cart so I doubt the controllers were disconnected to do it. Edit: Actually if they wouldn't fit surely they hadn't soldered them to the board with that clear box on it. So yeah, more evidence of them not being hard wired if they are too big to fit through the hole

The truth is though, he does seem to have a lot of supporters that are going to throw money at him no matter what cause they belive in the retro land idea. Most of them do not seem like they are too bright. Whether or not there are enough of them to fund the console remains to be seen.

I know there is no point in arguing. i was not trying to start an argument with him. I just found it amusing. dont really care what he is saying really. since he just pretty much repeated the same stuff he did in his 1st video, i thought id link him here. im sure he wont really be able to look at the evidence and see how blatantly obvious as the why the "rumor" is not a rumor.

What I took from Piko's post was he smells something fishy but cannot comment on it. I could have misinterpreted what he wrote though. Probably whatever the pipe dream, of what the RVGS team says the final product of the Coleco Chameleon is going to be, sounds awesome to them both.

here is one more thing i noticed the other day and did not post. i dont think anyone else did either: that looks an awful lot like they missed a spot. coincidence its the same color plastic as the snes mini's back panel?

Well if the hardware guy says so it must be true. Why would he lie. I guess there is a chance that Mike did not know it was an SNES mini and the hardware guy is lying. Their excuse as to why they couldn't open it sounds like bs though. There is so much pointing to it being an SNES mini and really nothing to disprove it except for the word of the rvgs team.

Not going to make a video, but i took some quick pictures. Looks like the cut some of the plastic off from inside the shell to make the snes slot be up a bit higher, but im not going to ruin mine to make a better fit. I think it was mentioned. The SNES power slider is on, inside the shell, and they have no good way to turn it on and off without anyone seeing whats in there cause they didnt bother to wire up an external switch. I still think the reason for the jump cuts is they didnt want to show the SD2SNES menu. also, Pico's PCB is just an SNES PCB which gives even more evidence of this being just an SNES mini inside a jag shell.

I think they did not expect that anyone would notice what the "prototype" actually was. they purposely took very low res video and never showed too much detail. They also hid the console inside of a box so no one could get too close to it. they should have used a Super Everdrive instead of an SD2SNES as its smaller and does not have the 2 extra sets of pins on the ends of the edge connector. It probably would have fit better into the jag cartridge shell and would have been harder to see what it was. Then taking the pic of the back of the system was another dumb move, just to prove to someone on facebook it was plugged in. If they would have not done just these 2 things, and maybe wired up a power switch and led, we may not have noticed what it really was. Or at least there would not be so much evidence. People probably still would have speculated it wasn't real.

yeah, there is no way they are going to open up what they have there as it would just prove what we are saying here. so we have to for the kickstarter to see something. its going to be completely different than what was shown at the toy fair though. I have seen zero evidence to prove or even suggest that this is not a SNES mini in a jag shell and don't expect there to be any either.

Im actually surprised that there appears to have been zero moderation on their facebook page today. Although the people pointing out what was posted in this thread are mostly being brushed off as not knowing what they are talking about by all the cheerleaders.

I think that more likely than not that, it is an SNES and an SD2SNES. I just think they dont have a real working prototype so this was a short cut. Im sure the hardware they show next week will look nothing like what they are showing today.

they did try to hide it, but they did a bad job. they probably just did not think about the snes cart edge connector being that distinct that it was easily recognizable. and not covering the whole rest of the flash cart with tape was also a mistake. then he took a pic of the back of the console, which he probably never intended to do or he would have put more tape around it to hide the nintendo multiout.

someone named David just did under the pic of the back of the console. will see how long it lasts "So ... that's an SNES video cable. I think I know why your prototype controllers aren't working. There's no way for them to work when you've just gone and shoved a SNES in to a Jag shell. That would also explain the SNES flash cart used to play the games. This is not a prototype system."
