I'm thinking about building my own 7800 controller with arcade parts. Is there any way to power led buttons? I'm assuming by using pin 7? TIA!

As much as I tried, this was all I could get this evening.

You can take a look at my Stampede strategy video on YouTube to get an idea of how to easily break 3k. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBPmwTeoFLc
Thanks! I tried that last night, and still got owned! Apparently, I'm not hardcore!

Played me some River Raid, Seaquest, and a butt ton of Stampede for the patches tonight. I was successful on two out of three. Best score I could muster on Stampede was 1,983 points. Maybe tomorrow!

Completed River Raid and Seaquest tonight. Tried like crazy to get Stampede, too, but the best I could muster was 1,983 points...

Put me down for patch number 5. Conquered Keystone Kapers! Nothing like a YouTube video to give you pointers!

Completed Megamania and Pitfall today. I think this is my personal best game on Pitfall, as well! Sorry for the amazing Pitfall pic, but my 2600 goes wonky sometimes. Only when I've been playing for a while, though. Not sure what that's all about.

Megamania and Pitfall today to earn the patches. I was actually successful, and I think this was my best Pitfall game of all time. I actually almost lived until the timer ran out.

Any ideas on what could be causing my 2600's output to look so awesome after I play for like 40 minutes or so? It doesn't do this all the time, but when it does, it's always when I've been playing for a while.

Keystone Kapers this evening in an attempt to score another patch in the 2017 Activision Summer patch quest. I guess a year is long enough to forget the trouble I had with this one last summer!

Yeah, I tried and tried to get Stampede done the last 2 years. Maybe 2017 will be the year. Or not...

I'm a bit late to the party this year, but here's my first two, Chopper Command and H.E.R.O. I only made it to level 14 on H.E.R.O., but I haven't played it for a while, so I'm a bit rusty.

Pretty sure I had PAC-Man Picnic, as that album cover looks suspiciously familiar...

Just went on an early evening Starpath binge, with quick rounds of Phaser Patrol (amazing game), Sword of Saros, and Rabbit Transit. How have I never played Phaser Patrol before today? I've had it sitting on my Harmony cart for like 3 years now! LOL!

Wow, just crawled out from under my rock to read this thread. Very, very cool. Thank you mr-atari for making this game and providing the community with a free ROM as well as an affordable game.
Email has been sent for the PCB.

Don't feel too bad! Apparently, I've been hiding under a rock of my own. That, and I've been distracted the last few months with my NES, but now I'm back to Atari goodness, and I just downloaded this great game. Now, if I can just convince my wife to play it with me...

+1 on the marketplace right here on AA. That's where I got my 2600 and my 7800. Good luck in your hunt. You should strongly consider picking up a Harmony Cart, as well. Definitely some of the best retro gaming related dollars I have spent.

Fired up the old console and tried Mission 3000 AD, and didn't find it that great, so I moved on to a bit of Kool-Aid Man and 2600 PAC-Man instead!

I guess I need to see if I have the ROM for that one on my Harmony Cart, since you say it's so addicting! I've never even heard of it before. Thanks for the mention!Mission 3000 AD, a crummy Bosconian wannabe that for some reason I can't stop playing!

It may be called The Atari 2600 Game By Game Podcast. (A.K.A. The "Ferg Effect") Of course, that's just baseless conjecture on my part, and I'm sure Ferg would still tell us all the Ferg Effect doesn't actually exist! LOL!What made the Atari 2600 more popular now than then?

Well, obviously it was on the end label that was missing, relegating this particular cart to the "ultra rare PAC-Man cart" category. The non-Activision game that has actiplaque pushes it into the "ultra, ultra, ultra rare cart" category.I don't see the $10k price tag.

Maze Craze is a quick, frenetic 2 player game. You could even go 2 out of 3 for each set of players and it would only take a couple of minutes.

Started off the day with Chopper Command, H.E.R.O., 2600 Pac-Man, and Taz.

I like Mario Bros for the 2600! Played a little California Games last night. I REALLY feel sorry for that little BMX dude! Lol!

That is by far the best version of Frogger on the 2600! Nice lookin' Heavy Sixer there, by the way!!

339,800 points on Food Fight!
in Atari 7800
Posted
I’ve been introducing my 10 year old grandson to the amazing world is Atari 2600 and 7800 games this week, and tonight while we were playing Food Fight, I had the best game of my life! I usually play with a Slik Stik, but one of mine is having fire button issues, so tonight I broke out my trusty CX-40. We were playing a two player game, and I made it to level 32. Couldn’t get my iPhone’s camera out quick enough to shoot a screen shot, though...
