  1. Thanks for putting this together! It looks like the bundle will need an update to handle the latest firmware/fconfig/N driver changes. Right now if you try to boot FUJINET-PC with a fujinet enabled DOS it will fail on FCONFIG saying "Fujinet not responding". I'd be happy to try rebuilding this. Did you happen to put notes together anywhere?
  2. I *do* know Python although I don't know WXPython but could easily learn What are the next tasks that need doing to improve this? Runs great. Super impressive. Thanks for all the hard work!
  3. Hiya I keep reading about this in abstract, but yet to have any success with it. All I keep getting in Altirra when I try to run fdisk to format the partition is error 255. I tried the method of creating the VHD in Windows, but when I then try to open the VHD in Altirra it says the VHD is in use by another application.
  4. Yeah I sold my Intellivision/LTO Flash to them. They seem pretty great. Going there made me wish I owned a big house, I'd want to buy 1 of each and have the ultimate retro arcade :)
  5. Sadly seems like the answer is no There's a vintage video game shop in Salem but that's not nearly the same.
  6. I'm having a slightly different issue trying to partition/format disks under Altirra. I can boot the U1MB just fine in the emulator, and get all the way to the final "Write to disk?" prompt in FDISK, but no matter what I do I get an "IO Error 255". Has anyone ever encountered this?
  7. Yup I just checked his side and he's charging a VERY reasonable price for the Ultimate 1MB. I'm currently bodging around with Altirra and SD cards and we'll see where that goes but this may well be my best option. To be honest, I JUST got the 800XL, I want to have some fun with it before I ship it off and lose it for a few weeks again Thanks!
  8. For sure I notice that The Brewing Academy (Where I bought my Side3) sells it bundled. I just need to figure out how to get the installation done. It's kind of painful to admit that I just can't solder myself, but I tried for YEARS, and being fine/gross motor impaired means it's not a matter of practice, my hands, eyes and brain just lack the machinery to be able to do it at all.
  9. Thanks very much. I'll need to explore what makes the most sense. I really would LOVE the Ultimate 1MB but I can't do the install myself as I mention above. I'll see if there's someone who can do the work here in the Boston, MA, USA area, or maybe I'll need to ship my system to someone. I'll figure it out :)
  10. That would be amazing! I'll do some digging!
  11. I just formatted it as a FAT volume on a modern computer. Looks like I may just have to use the cart as a loader and not as a disk. The video suggests using FDISK to partition the SD but when I try running that I get "MEMLO TOO HIGH". This is a stock unmodified 800XL. I can't really go for the Ultimate 1MB as I'm partially blind/fine and gross motor impaired and can't solder (Probably also in everyone's best interest for me to be kept away from power tools Obviously if there are any work-arounds that would allow me to run FDISK on my lowly 800XL I'd love to hear them. Thanks for the reply!
  12. Greetings all! This is an amazing community and I am grateful for it I just got an Atari 800XL two days ago and am having a blast, in particular with my new Side3 Cart. I've got the menu/loader humming along like clockwork, loading carts, disks etc. However when I try booting it into SpartaDOS X, either by sliding the switch or using the menu option, I see the light on the cart flash red and then SpartaDOS X just says "Device not recognized" wnenever I try to access D2: or D3: etc. I'm using the cart with a Sandisk 64GB SD card (I know WAY overkill but I have a bunch of them around :). 1) Is that card too big for the Side3/SpartaDOS X combo? 2) Is there something I'm doing wrong? Do I need to do something special to the SD card's filesystem to get SpartaDOS X to recognize it even though FlashJazzcat's incredibly swank loader works like a charm? Thanks in advance! -Chris
  13. Hi all. Pardon the ever so slight thread hijack but it's only EVER so slight :) I was lucky enough to get an LTO Flash cart and I have to say it's *awesome*! I'm 52, and I then proceeded to damage my right wrist with the Intellivision's controller. I still love the system and bear it no grudges or ill will, but I need to find a loving home for my original Intellivision system, a raft of about 20-30 carts (Many work, quite a few don't. Probably just need cleaning). I'd love to gift my console and all associated accessories including the LTO Flash to someone who will actually USE it :) Is that you? :) If you're Boston area I could just hand it to you, and if not I'd be willing to ship somewhere.
  14. Any update on the fate of the LTO Flash? A year has gone by and I'd still love love LOVE to be able to stop worrying about my aging cartridge collection and those ever oxidyzing connectors
  15. Thank you! You've indirectly fixed my problem I installed GUIntv, which helpfully told me I needed to go grab SDL.frameowrk and install it into ~/Library/Frameworks Voila! jzintv is working for me now. Huzzah
