I have this exact one in my 4-port 5200 and have been very pleased with the quality of the output from it. It wasn't too difficult to install but did require me to pull the GTIA loose to solder its pins to the AV board. The UAV doesn't require any components to be removed permanently and provides similar results and in some cases, (Mainly the 2port units), it is much easier to install overall.
Also, all the AV mods known, will break the VCS adapter funcationality. In theory the UAV should still work, but I think the fact it takes over part of the 4050 buffer circuit is what still causes the VCS adapter to not work even with the UAV in place.
I would only advise use of one of these two methods for the 5200 as again I've installed and have experience with both.
Umm, I can +10 this kit. I've never had a problem with them as of yet.

I've had an eyes-on experience with this, back when it was known as CAST-AR and it's pretty solid. It's headed by Jeri Ellsworth , who people in Commodore-land may recognize. It's an Augmented-Reality headset, aimed at table-top gaming, for now, but may be expanded in the future.
I've always wanted to try something like this in person, but have a reasonable suspicion that it would give me a seizure.

I don't much care for the game, but quite enjoyed the video as always.

Cpuwiz most likely knows what's possible with the expansion port, but there was never a marketed item that used it as far as I know. There are pinouts available for it, and lots of speculation.

What was your original issue? A/V modding a bum console is like putting a 8v71 Detroit blower on a bad engine. It may look nice sitting in the driveway, but won't get you to work.

This is always a weird deal for me since I bought a box with a brick in it instead of a VCR at Circuit City years ago. I still open every big purchase at the checkout line.

I agree, it does look quite nice. As far as looking for something, I don't know really, it s more of how a place feels. Although, back when I was really big into Lionel trains, the local hobby shop would put out a 5 dollar box every Wednesday around 3 when the store was slow. It was 5 bucks a piece for items and usually had one pretty nice piece. Everyone in the store at the time the box came out got a shot at buying , and the "prize" could only be picked by the same person once every couple months. Whats more, sometimes we would play poker using the items as chips afterwards. This thing got so popular that there ended up being 10 and 20 dollar item boxes too. Worked great getting people in the building, and the person that hit the jackpot always ended up buying other stuff too.

If you can use a TI-55 proficiently , you can definitely set the clock on your VCR.

I ve never found an early one to take apart. The ones from Best, and the later ones I ve cut apart and repaired easily enough, though they look like hell afterwards.

Just my opinion... any game that makes it s sales numbers off of a contest is not worth playing. Crud..... I was hoping for a "Ready Player One Game". Foiled by my own line of thought.

Really neat story there. There s been a lot of joy and frustration all over the world due to his programming.

I have Wicos with leaf switches, it s nice, because i can set the leaves tight to cause very little movement to trigger. Although, a positive feeling micro-switch controller is preferable to a lot of folk. The ultimate stick to buy in my opinion would be the Edladdin sticks

I don t know how it was up there, but down here little independent stop-and-robs bought boxes of clearance games during the crash, and stocked their shelves with them. Everyone had Atari games for sale at the time.

Do you have any ebay feedback, or will you be a new seller? What are your asking prices? What part of the country, ( or world for that matter) are the items coming from? I'm really really not trying to beat on you here, just trying to get some basic information.

He is a public figure and made himself such willingly. Meaning he has to meet and much much higher standard of proof to argue defamation, as compared to you or I (assuming none of you are secret celebs or something).
I understand why Billy is doing this perfectly. He is a text-book narcissist.
When one is caught cheating in the Olympics do they just take the one medal or all of them? Just seems to me that once a person is a known cheat having them around at all is a problem.
Oh, I m sure he wouldn't win. I was more curious if his inclusion lawsuit is something that can be taken to court?

Kind of a hard to wrap my mind around. I don t know how it is everywhere else, but in Texas, a private business has the right to refuse service to anyone. Here s the thing... Twin Galaxy more or less proclaimed to be the public authority on high scores, but I m not certain that it matters. I can claim that I m the upmost authority on Genghis Kahn, but that doesn't mean that historians have to fact check their information through me first. Nor does it mean that someone that has information contradicting my own has the personal right to post it on my fictional King of Hun website. I guess he has the right to sue for defamation, but certainly not inclusion. Or am I missing something?

As a publicly traded company, they have to disclose this stuff. I assume most of the employees work on licensing out the name, and that Mike Arzt is the only full time employee working on the ataribox project.
Hmmm. So it s a really small company with a big potential reach among a niche market. This information kinda changes my perception a bit. It s hard for me not to pull for a small business. I reckon that I ll wait until December (if that s what memory serves is right?) to see what comes.

Was just curious, but how many employees do they have? There s very little information that I could find about the company itself, though that don't mean that it doesn't exist.

Ok, the linked grommets above are a direct replacement for the Wico bat and ball top sticks that I have here. They are a bit stiff, as to be expected, but it allowed me to tighten the leaf switch throws up, and as of yet I ve not had misdirection from the sticks not centering.

Tube tester

So, I'm considering documenting some of my antique television and radio repairs if there's any interest. This is a drug store tube tester that I bought to go along with all of my other vintage TV and radio repair equipment, picture taken before I got it home and repaired same.
