  1. I wont get into what looks better on what, but I have a 2600 with a test cart that I use as a signal generator to repair vintage TV's as a hobby. Right now I m working on a black and white 1950 Philco. I literally pulled this particular one out of the ground half buried, and the crt still test good on my bk analyzer, so I started the rebuild of the chassis.
  2. Bud, even if I did think of selling, I gave kind of a premium for it convinced that I "had" to have it. I would never, ever get my money back. I think it s one of those items that I m going to have to install and be happy that I got a NOS one instead of thinking of what I spent on it.
  3. At this point, I think only a video showing the build team standing in a warehouse of units ready to ship, playing one in the background, in the process of stuffing them in boxes and into trucks to go to their destination, then having honest reviews here from folk that have been around would be the only convincing thing to do.
  4. Of the older Atari stuff, the 5200 is the easiest to spend big bucks on in my opinion, though I completely enjoy mine. Getting started is the biggest expense. Controllers, adapters, mods, then there s the games. lol
  5. I bought two of his, and they look and work great.
  6. Sir, I m a bit dense I know, but I found that in the marketplace. That user has it for sale methinks. Click on his username, and at the top of his user page will be a link to send him a private message.
  7. An elevator. I got sick when I was a youngster, and would sneak out of my room and go on midnight elevator rides at Methodist hospital. It was old enough that it didn t reset if you pushed all of the buttons.
  8. I hear ya. When I hit my 40's I started scaling down some of the projects. I ll never live long enough to finish the ones I still have. Regardless, all of it will go to landfill most likely anyhow. lol
  9. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/281017-5200-masterplay-clone-30-shipped-new/ Not what Atariguy1021 was selling, but a cheap enough way to get you there for now.
  10. I don t see the grounds to sue on account of this episode. I suppose that s why he lost.
  11. +1 on this. That was one of the topics big at the time that I installed my Electronic Sentimentalities kit a few years ago.
  12. That s a pretty amazing piece. Hmmm, maybe that would be a good treatment for my new 5200 aluminum bezel...
  13. I had no idea they were still selling stuff that late in the game. Around here, after the crash, games where even sold in gas stations. I suppose folk bought them off of the clearance isle and resold them. Then after around a year of that it seems, nothing at all.
  14. 1. Activisions Fishing Derby. Great two player fun, and beautifully done for a one screener. 2. Combat. Packed in with the early consoles. Two player fun only, but a lot of fun especially on the bounce shot games. 3. Go Fish! This is a homebrew for sale on Atariage. I can t say how enjoyable this game is. It starts off slow, and is the type of game early on to give a calming effect, but later in the game becomes a frenzy of action required to stay alive. Also, this game isn t a game that s over as soon as you start it, even though you only have the one life. 4. Princess Rescue. I ve never even seen this homebrew on cart, but it is amazingly well done. For the guys that never tried it, you don t know what you re missing. 5. Activisions Boxing. Another great two player game with pretty good collision detection. Keep in mind that my Atari gets lots of use around Christmas time, when folk are over here shooting pool and scarfing down vittles.
  15. Happy to hear somebody is. The idea is that there seems to be no middle ground, good for most games options. It seems that you almost have to have several adapters, a couple of masterplays, and a few modded sticks to play the library. Plus, rebuilt factory controllers.
  16. Its hard to believe how long the Wii has been out. I still use mine most every night for Netflix and Amazon Prime. It seems that I had a controller with a keypad at one time?
  17. its going to take something like a masterplay to make a 2600 controller work on that guy. I purchased a couple of extra nice reproductions from user name atariguy1021a couple of years ago. Others are making them too.
  18. Yes. I was placing an order anyhow, and happened to ask I think Brad is his name if he found any more, and he stated that he had found a few but didn t put it on the website.
  19. Lol. I like them as long as someone elses dressing isn t on them. And as Kosmic said, deals are to be had. There are more of these out there than there are collectors for them.
  20. You have reached the end of the internet. Shut off your computer and go outside.

  21. I had the same thought when the guys where talking about "fish tacos" on the Retron thread.
  22. I can t think of another vintage game with more easter eggs than E.T.
  23. Thank you. I will certainly try it.
