Anyone know if Atariage is going to Houston on the 11th or 12th?

Had a fuse inside the nos one I bought from BEST. I popped mine, my fault. Think I m going to recase mine in a project case since I had to ruin it cutting it apart.. Some of the old originals could be unscrewed.

I usually start with the same thing on these trackballs, by checking the shafts the bearings ride on. They aren t really coated from rust, and the oil from your hands wrecks havoc on them. If memory serves right, the shaft for that side to side movement is the right side, so you may be applying move pressure when tracking to the right. The bearings get a little crusty over time too, and a little lube usually fixes them up. I m considering making shafts out of stainless to stop from having to take mine apart, but cleaning after usage generally stops that issue.

Regarding the wrinkling...... if it makes any difference, I have a nos board from Best that came out of the bag with wrinkling.

I bought mine because I needed something to hold my house down during the next hurricane.

Some of the odd button configuration always made me wonder if the game programmers were anticipating a second generation controller.

Ok, is it a sears arcade 2, or a 5200? They're different critters. I want to buy a 5200 if that's what it is. Best has the adapter to put 2600 carts in a two port 5200 for 45 bucks boxed. Fleabay prices are generally in the 35-40 range unboxed (folks don't know you can still get them new old stock for the same price.)

I'm looking to buy a 4 port 5200 console in the matt black , not the shiny black finish. I don't need games nor power supplies or rf convertors, and I don't care if it works, but want a complete console, and with a nice case that has all the trim and no cracks. I also want some controllers that are visually nice, but are rebuildable. I 've got some mods I want to do on the console, including a/v and power, and will rebuild completely the controllers whether they work or not. I don't want or need boxes, nor games (maybe one for test purposes), and am more concerned about physical condition, and any aftermarket controllers you may have. I pay via paypal, and don't bull around.
