Uhm... so is this thing finally getting produced? Darryl

That's the very same keyboard I am using at the moment. It's connected to my HP desktop PC.
-
That's the ps2/at keyboard decoder. I want one.
-
Rotate it 90 degrees. The keyboard appears. Darryl

drool drool...

Turns out he did not buy the one with the missing J, so everything is good. Move along. Nothing to see here. Darryl

Just so I get this right... I see inside the case the connection are like so: red "B+" (guessing +12V) black "SYSTEM GND" yellow (3) "AUDIO IN" clear (4) "VIDEO IN" bare (2) "VIDEO GND" The video connection is easy as they are clearly labeled. The audio connection is the one I am not sure about. So I use the bare wire for the audio gnd, or black? UPDATE: I cut an A/V cable in half and soldered video to clear. And then I twisted left and right audio together and soldered it to yellow. The grounds for both audio and video were soldered to black/bare (which I twisted together). Works perfectly. Darryl

Nice! I will check that out. Darryl

I have my F18A console, but the others are still stock. The RF Modulator itself is a waste in this day and age. It becomes somewhat useful as a straight A/V cable. Darryl
-
I never thought to look under emulators for Plato disks! lol Darryl
-
My friend is just now getting into the hobby. he just bought a black TI console on Ebay and realized too late that it is missing the 'J' key. So I am asking the community if there is a sacrificial keyboard that can give up a 'J'? Darryl

So, you tellin' me I need to buy one of those Chinese erasers? Darryl
-
I ordered some UV LEDs, but they are coming from China and will probably take another two weeks. I plan to solder four of them in series (with a resistor) and power them from an old USB cable. So, putting them out in the sunlight isn't good enough? I can't wait for the slow boat! Darryl

I've looked around in wtech and didn't find ANY Plato disks. I tried to read my disks and an still having floppy drive issues. I hope the disks are still good. I seem to be having problems burning EEPROMs. I can’t even read them properly. Do they need to be erased first? Or is there some configuration mode I need to be in? Please help. I have the MiniPRO EPROM burner, and "10PCS AM27C040 -150 27C040 EPROM 4M 27C040-150DC,B12" chips. Darryl

I have a busted RF Modulator, and the thought has been going through my head to mod it. Basically, I want to convert it into a straight A/V cable. It’s a simple mod. Just cut off the RF box, and solder on RCA connectors for audio and composite video. So, before I start cutting, I thought I’d ask the question: Has anybody else considered (or tried) this? Is the video signal in that wire? Is the audio signal in that wire? Can it really be this simple? Darryl

Time to crank up the mold. Darryl

I like to hang out on videohelp forums. One feature I have gotten used to that I miss here is the "jump to last post" option. Videohelp also has a nice feature where you hover over the message and you get some of the text that makes up the first post, or you can also see the last post in a similar fashion. This is all from the topics list. And regarding file attachments, I got stopped trying to upload both illustrator .ai and .eps files. So I had to zip them. And it would be nice to have a shorter URL to get here, such as "http://atariage.com/ti99". As I was designing a nice label for Gazoo's XB2.7 Suite, I wanted to put the URL on the cart label, but it was too weird having "http://atariage.com/forums/forum/119-ti-994a-programming/". I'll check the bios settings. Gonna be real embarrassed if that's it. Darryl

OK, I cleaned the heads on one of the drives. It's a Chinon model FZ-506. I put it back in the PC and started transferring disks. Funny any disk that is not a 360K disk fails at the halfway point. For instance, a 1400 sector disk fails at (or sometimes near) sector 720. A 720 sector disk fails at sector 360. What do you make of that? The good news is that I was able to transfer some of the 360K disks, and partially transfer some of the other disks. Darryl

I just received my cart. Thanks. Haven't tried it yet. Darryl
-
Even I have one of those. :-) It's a sucker bulb on a hollow-tipped soldering iron. Love that thing. So useful. Darryl
-
Now *that* is something I'd be interested in! Can you do it? Darryl
-
Is it hard to get access to the heads to clean them? Do I just reach in the front slot with a qtip? Darryl
-
Not impossible, just challenging. Take these examples for instance: Darryl
