  1. Link is bad. Can somebody help me get this program, please. Darryl
  2. Wow! This is the most exciting thing I've seen in a long while for the TI! Can't wait to get mine. Darryl
  3. Oh, and for anybody wanting to have a go at cutting the plastic on the TI case, know this: - It cuts very easily with a dremel. Go slow. - Sharpie is perfect for marking where you want to cut. It wipes away easily with alcohol. Darryl
  4. The audio connections can be seen in the first photo of the TI mobo I posted. Look for two pins soldered in place in the lower right corner where the old A/V connector used to be. Darryl
  5. @retroclouds - OK, when finalizing my F18A VGA mod, I had the audio accidentally connected backwards. And it was very faint (and noisy). Swapped them and it's loud as hell again. So if your audio is faint, try swapping the wires. Darryl
  6. Finally got around to finishing my F18A mod. Here is the final result. I de-soldered the original AV connector on the TI mobo. Then I soldered in two fairly low profile pins for the audio. I made a little connector that fits on those pins. Finally, a top-down shot to show how the connectors do not interfere with the monitor's base. I think the VGA and audio come out of the TI console at just the right location. Darryl
  7. Guessing it's a beige model? The Mitsumi keyboards suck. They just suck. There are beige keyboards that are not mitsumi (and therefore do not suck). You can tell them in the ebay auctions by the green circuit board for the keyboard, visible through the air slots on the bottom. Brown circuitboard=suck; green circuitboard=good. Darryl
  8. What I like about the black consoles without the "Solid State" badge is that the keyboard overlay tray is redesigned (similar to the beige consoles) so that the overlays can stack. Darryl
  9. Well, the guy didn't know what it was. No surprise it sold for less. Also, looked like it had some repair work done on it. Darryl
  10. OK, well if I get a black console from you, I'd need a power supply too. Darryl
  11. I'd love that monitor, please. How much to ship to GA 30152?
  12. I would love a black/silver console. Been looking for a good one. Darryl
  13. So did one of us get the Myarc 512K card? It went for ~ $50! I was tempted to bid on it only because I have an unused label. It needed a case though. Darryl
  14. Cool! Glad the volcano worked out! Can't wait to play the finished game. Darryl
  15. I've completed the surgery, but I haven't tested it yet. But it did fit back together this time. :-) Darryl
  16. I don't like the different solid color on the left side (behind the TI logo), no matter the color. Looks weird to me. Darryl
  17. This is the one I got, but I've only tested it with the Atari joystick, paddle, and racing controller. So far, I love it! http://home.comcast.net/~tjhafner/2600-daptor.htm Update, I don't think it supports TI controllers (yet), so I emailed the guy. We'll see what happens. I really like the finished look of his "Daptor". Darryl
  18. There's nothing quite like a brand new PEB, especially with the newer style switch. They just look so nice. I'd go for the blue LED mod. Darryl
  19. FWIW, I have seen three variations outside of the beige Mitsumi keyboard and the two documented on Mainbyte (Alps and Hi-Tech). I have photographed them and here they are: Unknown (black). This one has had the Alpha-lock mod done to it by OLD_CS1: Futaba (black): General Instruments (beige): Darryl
  20. Is there a documentation file for the ÜberGROM board? Darryl
  21. For those having trouble downloading the large file, try jdownloader. Darryl
  22. Thanks! Can't wait. I want to close up the patient.
  23. gregallenwarner posted this link in my beige console LED mod thread: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11372 Darryl
  24. I love both the F18A and the nanoPEB. They are both super useful. But I have issues with both of them. F18A needs a TI install kit. In fact, I have it all planned out on paper. It would include a paper template for cutting the console case, a precut backplate with vga and audio output, and installation instructions. NanoPEB is great, but needs refinement. The PC software could be better and could use a GUI. The size of the circuit board us too tall. And it needs a case. It's very difficult to remove the nanoPEB. It fits in so tight that it feels like I am damagibg it when I try to putt it out if the socket. But still... Those are great mode for the TI. I also like the 512K multicart board and the XB 2.7 Suite cart... But those don't really fit into the same category as a "mod". Darryl
