  1. There's a new version of TI99DIR available to download, v61.a .

    Available HERE

    Notes for v6.1a:-

v6.1a Added option to extact all files from one ore more selected ARC-files

and/or DSK-images and copy these to a directory with the same TI-name

as the original ARC-file or DSK-image.

Added option to convert one ore more selected ARC-files to a DSK-image

with the same TI-name as the original ARC-file (for Berry Harmsen).

Fixed: dialogs.cpp:: Handling of the progressbar so that files falling

out of the criteria of the choosen function is not counted.

Fixed: dialogs.cpp::SetAttrFile() removed Sleep(500) for debug

purposes which was accidently left and slowing things down.

Fixed: doad.cpp::GetFileInfo() Creating better TI-file name for

downloaded files (TIFILES) with no original TI-file name.

Fixed: dskfunc.cpp::CopyFileToDisk() Copying an empty file to a

DSK-image doesn't fail anymore with error "Disk full".

Link is bad. Can somebody help me get this program, please.

  2. yup I agree. maybe i need to borrow Darryl's idea for the audio as well. I like that..

I don't know the audio piece of the motherboard very well. Where is is soldered to? I can see the connection.

The audio connections can be seen in the first photo of the TI mobo I posted. Look for two pins soldered in place in the lower right corner where the old A/V connector used to be.

  3. Finally got around to finishing my F18A mod. Here is the final result.

I de-soldered the original AV connector on the TI mobo. Then I soldered in two fairly low profile pins for the audio. I made a little connector that fits on those pins.

Finally, a top-down shot to show how the connectors do not interfere with the monitor's base. I think the VGA and audio come out of the TI console at just the right location.

  4. FWIW, I have seen three variations outside of the beige Mitsumi keyboard and the two documented on Mainbyte (Alps and Hi-Tech). I have photographed them and here they are:

Unknown (black). This one has had the Alpha-lock mod done to it by OLD_CS1:

  5. I love both the F18A and the nanoPEB. They are both super useful. But I have issues with both of them.

F18A needs a TI install kit. In fact, I have it all planned out on paper. It would include a paper template for cutting the console case, a precut backplate with vga and audio output, and installation instructions.

NanoPEB is great, but needs refinement. The PC software could be better and could use a GUI. The size of the circuit board us too tall. And it needs a case. It's very difficult to remove the nanoPEB. It fits in so tight that it feels like I am damagibg it when I try to putt it out if the socket.

But still... Those are great mode for the TI. I also like the 512K multicart board and the XB 2.7 Suite cart... But those don't really fit into the same category as a "mod".
