I just posted "December is still a go" for illustrative purposes only, but nice comparison! It's amazing that the backers don't have torches and pitchforks in hand.

I only glanced at the IGN article yesterday, thinking they'd have nothing new to offer. It seems I was mistaken, as they got an Atari response. Atari says they are continuing on schedule, so that means December is still a go!

Electronics isn't my thing, but that seems complicated for a battery-operated light bulb and switch. They've had working Fuji lights for over a year when they were trying to fool TheReg (and others) the first time.

In other news, UberStrategist absolutely sucks at messaging. The onus isn't on anyone to hunt down a single post or two to find out if the VCS still includes games.

Yo, Atari, I'mma make it easy for you: Linux-ready 3.5-inch SBC can load Ryzen Embedded V1000 or R1000 I believe it checks off all the necessary boxes; namely the R1606G/R1505G CPU options, low temperatures, and small formfactor (147 x 102mm/5.8" x 4"). While the price is not disclosed, it seems to be a thing that actually exists now. They also take both facts and attacks toward Atari or Ataribox personally. Same type of thing goes on over in the Intellivision thread and those fans don't even have any money involved.

The Atari OS is, indeed, supposed to be Linux. But Sandbox Mode is supposed to be whatever OS you can install. I guess they could do a retro-futuristic redesign of an Atari computer and put AtariVCS board inside. Maybe update the design so it's more of a detachable keyboard than in the case. Add a hard drive for an actual O/S and programs. I think they'd rather just sell you the console and let you add peripherals. But the same questions arise as the AVCS, as Flojomo asked above. And here we're speculating about another Atari product when their first one may not even be out of the prototype stage. They're coming to get you, Barbara!

CBs were the Internet forums of the day with anonymous handles, inside codes, and both useful and idle chatter. I remember my handle from back then, even though I was probably eight or ten years old. So I'm wondering what the next news will be? One about delaying shipment?

Funny, because you came into this to try to troll us and are literally "pissing & moaning" about this thread. I do find it interesting that even supporters such as yourself don't find Atari's updates exciting enough to put over in the FAQ thread.
