  1. Good Lord, someone has bid on it.
  2. Well. John Titor travelled back in time to take a computer to the future so why not in reverse?
  3. Has anyone ever made a way to virtual print? SIO2PC then emulate a printer and print to pdf?
  4. I have 3 x 1702 monitors, 1 x 1802 monitor although I playh on a sony pvm because I have a second one with a broken board so I have a complete set of parts except the broken board. I have a dozen-ish 8-bit machines but the one I use is an 800xl with some paint and marker on it, I have 3 working floppy drives and last year bought 50 (relatively) new manufacture floppies. I've several 8-bit carts that I play. Now, outside of my Atari... I wear an Apple watch and carry an iPhone 6+ as well as an android, I've always got an iPad Air 2 and a kindle within arm's reach at home. My main machine at home has alost 10TB of storage which is mostly full. I have an Amazon Echo that I talk to every day...
  5. Super Mario dies on the cover of Super Mario Bros. *nods*
  6. I"ve got a few good machines through there, congrats on getting that one! It should work, the drive might even too (both drives I"ve got off there worked perfect although one has magic marker on it 'such and such high school computer lab' ha!). I've never got a 2600 that works off of there but I have one of B&C's for my 2600 stuff. That reminds me, I still need to open and test the 1802 I got a month or two ago haha.
  7. A pinned, closed, thread at the top of this subforum with links to all the serial number threads would probably get more people contributing their numbers.
  8. 83s aw 20118 183 (aw 491283-5-3) Image at -> http://www.ryanmercer.com/atari/2015/9/14/acjxq4selz1bhtc5phl1o5sipcim04 (forums image linking doesn't like the fact that there is no image file extension)
  9. No no no, you want a 1027, my 1027.
  10. It'll get up to 80-120$ with 20-something shipping sadly. Last summer I was snatching up Atari stuff stupid-cheap on there, now more and more people are on there bidding on stuff as soon as it gets posted so I don't even bother any more. I occasionally can still snag a commodore monitor though, the shipping usually keeps people away. I've got a couple of 1702's and an 1802 that way.
  11. Oh god they are calling the Atari 1050 5 ¼ floppy an SD card reader… Atari Drive SD Card Reader W/Keyboard (23996447)
  12. The screenshots got me all nostalgic and I had to go home last night and fire up my WIndows 3.1 machine just so I could runk scandisk and watch it haha.
  13. Heh the screenshots remind me of spinrite
  14. Gen 8 Impala, it's a known issue on Impalas and Chevy refuses to acknowledge it. So everytime I get in the car I have to turn off stabilitrak and traction control otherwise if I turn the wheel left at all it... for the lack of a better word will shudder and temporarily disengage throttle control in little bursts until you stop turning the wheel... and it'll just randomly turn itself back on while you're driving meaning you have to turn it off again. http://www.impalaforums.com/chevy-impala-8th-gen-discussion/402961-stabillitrak-abs-traction-control-issue.html We've got a discussion on it over there, I went to add what you said to the thread and someone had already had a mechanic tell them something similar, but replacing the sensors didn't solve the problem. I've not checked to see if the cable is the issue as per this techlink (page 6).
  15. Anyone going JUST Saturday from Indy? I'd like to go but I've no desire to drive up myself (car is having some traction control/stabilitrak/abs issues) but would cough up some gas money and/or first dibs at some commodore stuff I'd take up for the free pule
  16. I had so many thumb blisters as a kid from my NES.
  17. The caps and resistors look fine, what's on that IDT 71024 s15v chip... looks like glue or burns.
  18. What's his face from the podcasts has said multiple times he wants to start one by him (near whitestown I believe) and last year I volunteered to help and even help front the rental fees (when I still had my business and had the money coming in to actually do such) but he didn't seem too serious. It doesn't have to be something big, rent some space, pre-sell some table spots for a reasonable fraction of the cost (I'd get one just to hopefully sell off all my commodore stuff, even if for just a few bucks a piece) and then get the word out there about it on here/reddit/facebook. Indy makes a hellofalot more sense than some suburb of Chicago as it's more centralized, people from anywhere in IL/IN/KY/OH/MI could easily come down for just the day.
  19. This! I have a 1050 that worked fine for a few minutes and then went all borked on me. Ejected the floppy in it at the time and ther ewere both dried flakes and whispy bits of the electrolytic compound from some blown caps. I've yet to fix it but did quickly look at it and a few caps were leaking. I'll fix it eventualy but for now I just don't have a good place to sit and solder heh.
  20. I wish we'd get something here in Indy. I've zero desire to drive to Comminois. They agressively pull over out of state plates (especially Indiana plates) for bs reasons and don't have reciprocity with us so I can't carry there.
  21. Hmm if I were to do this now I would use one of those Dell optiplex computers that are common in offices, you also keep the PSU outside of the case that way as some use a power brick.
