😃 I see we both have a great sense of humor!  By the way, loving your Amico coverage. Keep up the great content!

I’ll look through your channel, but have you done many Intv homebrew reviews?

Thanks man. I can take a poke as long as it is done in the interest of FUN. In fact I encourage it. :)

I haven't done any Intv homebrews yet at all. Haven't gotten around to picking any up.

Atari Creep seems to of mistaken the Revolution DKJr for the Coleco version.

I should be up in arms and angry, but nah, I have a sense of humor.

Sigh. I used the wrong box are for the Intellivision port, I'm sure we can get over that. What I cant get over is that you think the game I am playing herr is the amazing Coleco port. I should be up in arms and angry, but nah, I have a sense of humor. Lol

I worked on Scooby Doo for the PS2 about 20 years ago!  Was the Audio Director and did the music, v.o. stuff and sound design.

Really cool jazzy soundtrack (and I had permission to use the Scooby themes!).

Just had a listen (first time in 18 years I think!) and it doesn't sound bad considering we didn't use ANY live instruments (i.e. no budget).  Not bad for all MIDI instruments 20 years ago!

I dig the music in this game. This game was fun. I liked it anyway.

AC, what I wanna know is how cool the box art for the system looks! I know you can’t give details...just rate it on cool collector value 😁

I honestly do not remember seeing the art, but that could be because I have a deal where I forget stuff. Plus we talked about so much in a short time after I stopped recording. I can say I have seen the blank box itself and commented on that ^up there somewhere^.

I've actually shown it to @The Atari Creep and @OEB_Pete.  I swore them to secrecy... but they may be able to comment generally if they think it's cool or not.  :)

Lots of though and class went into just the box. Hard talking about it and not F up here but let's say this, it will make you feel like you purchased something more than a "toy" when opening it. Class is the best way I can describe it. Hope that's not too much @Tommy Tallarico You are permitted to shoe me in the nuts when repoing my Amico stuff if it is. LMAO

Yep!  That's the exact paint we're using!  I showed @The Atari Creep a render of the Galaxy Purple console.  Don't want to put words in his mouth... but I believed he was impressed.   :)

Pics will be released over the next few weeks I believe.  It's a tie in with a pre-order at retail.

Yes, it was lovely. LOL Seriously though, I think a lot of folks, especially motorcycle/car folks will like it a lot.

I been buying the new school stuff as of late, and I really felt good about my recent purchase, of the Hyperkin Ranger 2600/7800 Controller. It plays like a charm and prob the best responses I have ever had BUT, like many classic game players we get angry or frustrated and throw a controller down. I have never broken a controller and I have smashed these things. It took one throw down of this and it broke, despite it being my fault, it should NOT break on throw down.

Sadly things today are just junk

    ....

    Beware before you buy

I HATE hyperkin, especially after the hell I went through with the Retron 77 but that ranger controller is a solid well working little unit. If you can get past using a thumbstick vs a d pad or actual stick. Stop throwing your shit. Smoke a bowl or something man.

Reposting to this for the below reason as I just got to it. As I read through this thread I took note of pages with videos so I could come back and watch/listen them as time allowed.  Speaking of which, was the video on page 1 taken down?

Anyway, the purpose of my post - I started this video with my AirPods on while I started dishes.  This busted me up laughing, but at the same time a little “creepy”

So AC, since you seem to have a knack at predicting future events, you taking the over or under on my prediction of total sales for Amico?  Hint (not that you may need it), My predicted number is a lot...

Just curious as to what part you thought was a bit creepy???

Great video but nobody is losing their minds except a few who have nothing good to say about the Amico ever.

Thanks so much. Well, you should have seen my in boxes about it. LOL Glad its not becoming a thing but I am glad I jumped on it to put the fire out before it gets out of control. Maybe. LOL

So did Tommy change his tune about direct ports or are these ports going to do something special that other platforms can't do?

Very interested in that Bomberman game.  Is that actual Bomberman or a clone?

I talked to him tonight, I will be addressing this in a video later tonight. I am sure he will respond but figured I would mention it anyway.

Tommy, THANK YOU for continuing to hang out here and chat even with folks baiting you or openly misrepresenting your words and actions.

The waiting till 10/10/2020 is excruciating, but it is sooooooo much better with you than without you.

I'm going to quote this too. Like him or hate him, how many times have you seen leadership form a company spend this much time addressing their customer base like this. I respect that a great deal.

    Hi Chris!,

Thanks so much for the video!

I hope you didn't think I was upset in any way.  I LOVE that you always speak your mind.  As you're probably aware by now... I'm the same.  :)

So always... MASSive respect!!  (see what I did there?)   :D

I just wanted to give you more info in hopes that you understood where I was coming from.  I love that this has opened up a discussion.  Feel free to make the video public if you'd like.  No worries.

YES!  Lets jam on stage at some point!  That would be EPIC!!!

I think doing an interview together would be hilarious.  Please let me know if you ever want to do it.  2 Massholes shootin' the shit... I think it would be like no other interview yet!  Looking forward to it if it ever happens.

Thanks again for keeping Amico discussions going on your channel.  You'll have some more info to talk about soon when we release the next gameplay trailer!  Working on it now in fact.  :)

Didn't think you were upset at all. In fact the response is what I aim for. I can feel a way about something but it my feelings are based on a misunderstanding I WANT to be corrected so I can have a more educated point of view, regardless of the end result. If it can change my mind, cool.

Jamming would be great. Atari Creep Chris and Intellivision Tommy on stage, 1 night only. Playing Kinks, Aerosmith and Godsmack covers all night. lol

Let me work a few things out and I will be in contact about maybe having a recorded chat bro.

Yeah... after a year of being in here... I can sympathize!   :D

But there has been a LOT more positives in this thread and my interactions... which is why I continue coming back as much as I can.

That being said...  Yo CHRIS!!  Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I hope you stick around!

I left this comment on your video... but probably better that I leave it here so we can openly discuss.

Hi Chris! Thank-you for your honest feedback. I can totally understand and appreciate your point of view. Just to be clear... it was only just an idea I was thinking about because of all the e-mails we are constantly getting from folks begging us to please do another pre-order for the Vintage Woodgrain with something extra. If it was just one or two e-mails a week... that would be one thing. But the fact that it's like 10 - 15 a day is pretty crazy! We've literally received more e-mails about this than the 2600 people who purchased the Founders Edition! Good news for us! The pre-orders that happen at retail are also going to have special things. So I guess my point or question is... if retail stores will be doing special pre-order stuff (NOTHING like the epic Founders Edition!) why wouldn't folks want Intellivision to also do special pre-order stuff as well? Of course we make more money when we sell things directly to our customers... and if our customers are begging us to do something cool for them (i.e. giving them a reason to buy direct and get something cool) then it seems crazy not to do so.

But again... I see the points that you and others here are saying and I wouldn't want it to seem like we are desperate in any way. Hell... I don't mind doing a VIP Pre-Order with ZERO money down! It's not about the money at all. It's about giving our loyal audience and followers something they want. The folks who got the Founders Edition truly got something super unique! We will NEVER do anything close to that at all. No one ever has to feel like they are being selfish about wanting to keep the Founders Edition special. It totally is... and always will be. I can seriously see those things selling for over $1,000 on Ebay at some point! The idea with the VIP edition is to do 5200 or something (see what I did there!) and have the Vintage Woodgrain (UNsigned), no patch, no pin, no digital and physical soundtrack albums and no $50 metal laser cut gift card. Only a signed team poster and maybe like a $25 plastic gift card. That's it! A very far cry from the Founders Edition. The reality is that all of the retailers are going to be doing special pre-order stuff... so I guess my question is... why shouldn't we also? We've made the decision (although things could always change) that the ONLY place people will be able to purchase the Vintage Woodgrain will be directly through us. So if we throw in a few small extra perks to give our most ardent fans and followers something to feel a little special about... I don't know... I just don't see the issue personally. But hey... if it's going to cause a ton of backlash and bad feelings with the Founders Edition folks... then it's probably not worth doing. I guess I'm just not understanding 100% the reason people would be upset or feeling like we are somehow scamming people? Pre-orders are a thing of modern times and every store and video game company does them. We are doing it... but giving stuff that you would NEVER see companies like Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft do. I thought we would have been praised for that... not the opposite.

The final thing to mention about this is that it was merely just an idea at this point. I am currently working on a big gameplay video that a lot of folks are going to appreciate... which in turn is going to drive the hype level through the ceiling again. We just want to be prepared for capturing that enthusiasm and translating it to another big win for ourselves and prove once again that folks are super excited about what were doing and they want to be a part of it. I'm sure you can imagine how difficult it must be for us to break into the market dominated by 3 multi-billion dollar companies. The more "pre-sales" we have... the better. The more proof of concept we have... the better. I would never want to do anything to cheapen the original Founders. They will ALWAYS hold a special place in our hearts for stepping up and helping us to prove our point. But doing something a little special for the tens of thousands of others who wanted to get in but couldn't... shouldn't be seen as a negative... but hopefully a positive from a company who truly appreciates their audience and wants to give a little something back.

Now that you have more info Chris I would love to hear your thoughts. Maybe you could do another video... or respond to me here or on Facebook. Once again... I appreciate your honesty and I know that your intentions are only meant to help us and give us insight. Appreciate you my brother! My fellow Masshole! Lets talk more. In fact... if you want to do a Skype interview for one of your videos... lets do it!! You can ask me ANYTHING! Might be fun. Thanks again! Looking forward to discussing more. Keep the awesome videos coming. As always... you're "creeping it real!" :)

So here is that response. After watching it, I noticed that it basically says the same things my original video did but more addressing you @Tommy Tallarico directly. I do elaborate further though. The video is not live, I have left it unlisted for now. Anyone is welcome to watch it, leave feedback too. Its a longer one but once I get going I think I address the points in your comment.

For anyone that wants to know but does not want to watch it, I made the video mainly because there has not been much Amico talk as of late and I like to keep the name fresh on the minds of people. I refuse to make videos just for the sake of making a video though. If there is nothing to actually talk about then I let it rest until there is something of note too. I was one of the folks not for another preorder for selfish reasons but at the end of the day it's neither here nor there. I will still have my Founders Edition (God willing) in October and regardless of how many preorders there are I will enjoy it. It is not something that will keep me up at night. The idea came and went.

    Thanks as always Tommy.
