  1. Hi, I have an Atari Portfolio that was an LCD discoloration and the bottom left hand quadrant of the screen is not visible. Is there some where I can get an LCD replacement?
  2. I own a Timex Sinclair 1000 (NTSC version of the ZX81) and it displays no video... from what I've researched, the ULA chip is to blame for this. Are their replacements out there or are there substitutes?
  3. What do you mean by "terminated"?
  4. I have an Amiga 2500, and I want to be able to put perhaps a zip disk or a cd rom drive into it but its occupied with a HDD already. I have a A2091 SCSI controller and I'm not very familiar with SCSI. The SCSI ribbon cable doesn't have multiple connectors on it like a floppy or IDE ribbon cable has on it. Does this only support one device or do I need to purchase a SCSI ribbon cable with multiple connectors on it?
  5. I'm selling a 25 Canadian dollar iTunes card that I got as a gift that I don't need because I don't use iTunes. The store doesn't accept returns on these so I'm selling it here. I can part with it for 23 20 Canadian Dollars. Paypal gift or you're paying the fees. This will only work on the Canadian iTunes store. But I will keep it open to world wide (useful if you want to buy an app that isn't available in your country). I will send the code through PM but if you'd like, I can ship the card itself for around 2 dollars, depending on where you live. Thanks,

Damn Atari Age! It was messing up when I did that comment! AA quits working at 1:45 or 1:50 to about 2AM...I should know better!

  7. I know that the ST was used a lot in the music industry and some people say that it's still being used today. But has anyone really seen one in action at a studio these days?
  8. Well I meant more so on the software side of things.
  9. How do I install a CDROM drive? I have Workbench 1.3 btw.
  10. Is there any good way for me to transfer data to and from the Amiga? It doesn't have IDE so a CF card is a no go. I've done a little research and I've come up with either a null modem transfer, a SCSI CDrom drive or a ZIP drive. The null modem seems to be the easiest although I don't know how fast it is compared to CDrom or the ZIP drive. The ZIP drive seems to be the best option (because of re writable disks) but I don't know if the Amiga supports the zip drive through the SCSI. Any ideas?
  11. Was looking at the software we have on our computers at school. Apparently AppleWorks 6 is still on our computers :D

Now it's been supplanted by iWork.

I made a lot of pixel art and interfaces with ClarisWorks 3.0. Good times. I think it turned into AppleWorks at version 6.

      Appleworks is available for Windows?

  12. If you have used a soldering iron before, you can replace the internal battery yourself. Luckily, all you need to open a dreamcast is a Phillips head screw driver.
  13. So a little update, I tried to remove the motherboard from the case, one of the screws was stripped and was way too tight. So I decided to use a dremel to cut a slit into the screw so that I can get it out with a flat head screw driver. This won't hurt anything right? I'm being very careful not to touch anything but the screw but it is taking a far bit of time to cut a decent slit into it. Another thing, the power supply problem I had before, it turns out that it was the floppy drive that was causing the problem. I unplugged the floppy drive power cable and it booted right up. Which tells me, there must be some sort of short in the floppy drive's circuitry.
  14. alright so I tested all the voltages and they seem to be fine. And the fan is spinning as well. EDIT: Ok, for some reason, I plugged it back into the amiga to see if it was working... it seemed to work fine this time. So onto the battery. Luckily the battery hasnt leaked everywhere and only leaked in a small area where the battery terminals are and the battery still holds a charge. But I still want to get it out of there so that there isn't any further damage done to the board. I don't have a button cell holder on me for the button cell mod, so will the amiga still operate without the battery? (not keeping date and time of course)
  15. As for getting out the power plug off the mobo... How do I do it exactly? I noticed a white tab and pressed it down and the plug doesnt want to budge...
  16. yes i understand that, but should I just assume that the color codes are the same on modern ATX power supplies?
  17. What type of connector does the power supply use to plug into the mobo?
  18. Yes everytime. I have tried a few times. I checked, I dont believe I dropped any kind of screw but I will check under the mobo if there is something wrong.
  19. Alright thanks, I will try that. Also another thing, I tried the amiga 2 hours ago without a monitor just to see if it were to boot and the HDD was spinning and seemed to be working. However, when I tried it just now, the power light flashes for a second and nothing happens... did the PSU just brick itself?
  20. hello everyone, I recently got an Amiga 2500 and I wanted to inspect the battery and get that thing outta there. But I try to unscrew all the screws to the drew cage (and the ones on the back) that are visible to me but the drive cage will just wiggle. I don't want to apply too much force on it. Any suggestions?
  21. Spotted an Amiga 2500 at my school. How should I go about trying to get this thing? hehe

It's a miracle it's still there. Might be easier to get than you think. Around here, they dumped all the old computers over a decade ago.

I wonder if they'll take the last Wii U made and put it under glass at Nintendo headquarters? My newest console is a Wii, so I am going to be 2 generations behind when the Switch comes out.
