Nikola Tesla was on a whole different level. I sometimes wonder if he was an Alien Read a biography on him once. Just amazing the things he came up with.
That is why I asked and mentioned test printing to fit the case to the board. That way it would hopefully just work for everyone else. The designers would be doing all the grunt work of getting things to line up and fit. Something I would be happy to help with.
Ok. Usually when I do a design, I do partial test prints. Then check the fit and location of things against that and the actual board. Iterate from there. Saves material and print time to just do a check of things.
Thanks. I'll play with it later and try that. I was also trying to export them into OpenSCAD since I am more familiar with that. But I am thinking that is a lost cause. But we'll see.
Are those functional 3D designs or just mock ups? I was looking at the Tinker CAD files for those and I didn't see where the case splits to mount the parts and print the case sections. Of course I am very need at Tinker CAD.
I hate to ask this. But what is Ralf's web site address? Just so I know not to buy anything from him. I am sure I've run into it in the past but don't remember right now.
Never mind. Found it again.
Have they really done that and not just to the box? Never heard that one before. Although I can almost see doing it to the box to put a scope in it. You know see what is in there short of opening everything up and re-boxing it.
I wonder if they are doing "random" extended customs or security checks. Luck of the draw some sail through and the others get x-rayed, sniffed for bombs, drugs, etc.
Are you all talking about Google FI? I've been using it for years now. No problems so far. Other than some coverage dead spots due to who they have partnered with.
Complaining about 20C?? It's been 32C + all summer here. We think it's a nice day when it's 27-29C. It's not unusual for it to get over 37C here. Of course I'm the USA's midwest. So we tend to get weather extremes. It's been know to be hotter than Florida here and in the winter colder than some parts of Alaska
