I just bought a Columbia home arcade. Everything is there except the power supply, which they gave me a 2600 power supply instead. They said that that was what they used because they lost the original. Both joysticks are here but 1 has a broken stick. Just the plastic piece is snapped. The control still works. Does anyone know how compatible the coleco gemini controllers are with this? I know it's the same system so I'm curious if I can swap the internal components with a gemini controller?

I got the stuff at a local store near me. The owner bought a huge colecovision, adam, and Intellivision collection off of a collector. Everything is boxed and in pristine condition. Oddly enough, I just found a Boxed disk drive on Craigslist too. Came with a bunch of games too. All the original Styrofoam and manuals are with it. The box graphics and condition are good but the glue seems to have let go, so the box isn't staying together. Does anyone know of a particular glue I can use to fix it up that won't damage the box?
-
Wow, thanks. That helps a lot. The Zaxxon and Donkey kong are the super games in the arcade style boxes. It's cool to finally see the conveyor belt stage. The box to donkey kong Jr as well as the Manual were in the lot too but no game.
-
I can't wait to hook up the disk drives and try these games out. Hopefully the drives work.

The pinball construction set is on a desk labled: Adam public domain software.
-
I'm not sure if the CP/M will let it run other software but it's definitely for the Adam. This guy had a massive Adam collection. I bought an Adam Demo cartridge from his collection as well. Only thing I didn't buy was his actual Adam computer which was upgraded and had 2 data drives.

I recently came upon a large lot of Adam stuff. I'm not too familiar with the Adam, does anyone know if any of this is a good find? I know the disk drives are a little hard to find. The lot had 8 different 3rd party Adam computer books from the 80's. There were 2 vintage "I *heart* Adam" pins Hardware: Adam link modem with data packs and manual 2 disk drives wit power cords, connection cords manuals and disk manager software. Boxed Games: 2010 text adventure game Family Feud A.E. and Chop lifter double pack Zaxxon Donkey Kong Dragons Lair There are also a whole container of loose games on floppy disks. These are all copies and not original games. Temple of ApShai Jeopardy Hard hat mack Pinball construction set Trolls tale Front line super game Venture Frogger 2 Chuck Norris Blockade runner Video hustler Evolution Cabbage patch kids Donkey kong Jr Super subroc Also there are at leaSt 50 to 100 formatted blank floppy disks There are also 20 or so Adam Data sets with some games. They all came in two flip open plastic cases. One cassette is labled Fantasy Gamer. Boxed educational software: Wacky word games Richard Scary best electronic word book Flash facts: American history Flash facts: words Flash facts: entertainment trivia Flash card maker Expertise Home helper software: Recipe filer Smart filer Letters and forms Address book filer (with the auto dialer) Adam Calc Programming software: Smart logo CP/M 2.2 and assembler

They're being sold as untested but he's asking $100 a piece.

Just how rare are the Coleco Adam Disk Drives. I'm not a huge Adam collector but I try to keep my eye out for items if they pop up and recently I found a place with 2 disk drives, 1 with the power supply. Lots of games too.
-
I opened it up and there are 3 chips with stickers on them
-
It also won't work in a colecovision, only the Adam computer.
-
Is there any way, by looking at the board, to see if it's original? It feels slightly heavier than a normal cart. It came from a serious collector who had to liquidate his almost complete Colecovision boxed collection. Unfortunately he didn't have anything else on the cart.
-
Thats a picture of the cart itself but I'm having some trouble loading the screen shot. Its definately the Adam Demo Cartridge. The screen loads and scrolls through different software that is available as well as show some programs and such. Ive seen the same demo on Youtube.
-
I found, what appeared to be, a colecovision demo cartridge. It has no label, just a small sticker that says: for demonstration only. After a little research I found that it is a demonstration cartridge for the coleco adam. I hooked up my Adam computer and the cartridge boots up just fine. Does anyone have any info on this? Is it rare? Does anyone know the value?

I'm looking to start getting into the commodore 64. Id like to get one in good working order and some software as well. I'd also be interested in a working disk drive and cassette drive. Ebay just seems so expensive and I haven't seen anything on Craigslist. PM me if you'd be willing to sell some of these items.
-
Yeah, that's what I offered but he wasn't interested at that price

How rare are the Promotional Atari 2600 consoles? I managed to get one in the box (which is in great shape) for $25. I'm trying to see if I got a good deal. Are they worth much, if anything, more than a standard Atari 2600?
-
No box. He's firm at $500. If I did buy it, it would be the most I've spent for any single system or game but it would also probably be the most rare item in my collection. Right now the most I've spent is $200 on a boxed colecovision expansion module 3, the Adam computer module. Does anyone know how often the Columbia Home Arcade pops up for sale on ebay or this site?
-
The person is asking $500
-
Can anyone suggest the value of a Columbia home arcade system? I have an opportunity to buy one but I don't want to spend far more than its worth. Can't Even find it under the sold listings on EBay.
-
Wow, what a great deal. I live right near boston too. Unfortunately, though I'd love to have a working neo geo cabinet, I wouldnt know the first thing about getting new electronics.

Crazy Climber Q*bert's Qubes BOMB Great Escape chase the Chuck Wagon

I bought what was listed as a PAL BOMB cart, Great Escape. Not sure why but it works just fine on my TV here in the US. Nothing on the cart says it's PAL or NTSC. I wonder how that is.
-
I've been stalking auction pages as well as online stores and I just can't find one. Closest thing I've found was a PAL one.
