  1. So one thing I have learned so far, Cd-I needs the digital video cartridge for most of its “games”, and 3do doesn’t need it because it was only needed to play Japanese movies. Is that a fair assessment?  Or can someone tell me a 3do game worth owning that requires a digital video module?

What model of CD-I player do you have?  There’s two different versions of the digital video cartridge. You’ll need to make sure you get the right one.

It’s the flip top one where the digital video cartridge is directly to the left.

  3. This seems like a good thread to ask this question.

I broke out the cdi (quarantining). Tried to Play christmas crisis but the screen said I need a digital video thing. I tried another game, Space Ace maybe and it said I needed the digital video and more ram??  I was finally able to play Tetris lol. Oh, and I learned my voyeur case was empty!  Serves me right for buying a “lot” many years ago and not checking everything before putting in a pile.

so what exactly do I need to play these “games” and does anyone know where to find one?

also, it was mentioned in this thread that the 3do also has a similar digital video add on. I have the first version 3do. What is this digital video add on and how many of the 3do’s library actually needs it?

    thanks in advance everyone.

Great, finally a Tennis game - but why not Great Courts, which is possibly the best and most playable game of Tennis on the ST, according to many incl. myself?!

These st ports will prolly go on for the next 10+ years. It’s only a matter of time!

ill buy boTH of these of course. Either two player simultaneous?
