    Beamrider PAL. I played it on my Commodore 64 back in the days, and always liked that kind of tech-graphics Tron-like look but so far I haven't come across a PAL cartridge to pick up for my Atari 2600.

    Jack Nutting recently gave a lightning talk with the topic "6502 Assembly for the Atari 2600" giving a quick introduction to the features of the Atari 2600 and the basic concepts of programming assembly on it. Great as a first intro IMHO, and in just 13 minutes.
