  1. Robot Tank might be the most immersive 2600 game I've ever played. The beautiful landscapes, day/night cycles, changing weather, battle damage effects, and first person perspective all make the game feel a lot more realistic than you'd expect from a 2600 title. What a game! =D

      I always thought it was particularly striking to see an enemy tank fade into view through the fog as daylight hits. I agree that it's a VCS masterpiece - Even the N.E.S. couldn't port it quite right, as proven by the Flasback 1 version, which was powered by NOAC. The colors were fewer, and the ugliness was greater.

      It is a great game and WAY ahead of it's time for 1983. Activision 2600 games as a whole are awesome!
