  1. With how popular retro game collecting has gotten, I think all Nintendo would have to do to ensure their next console is a success and make a fortune on it is rerelease the SNES and all their first party games for it. Rereleasing the N64 or GameCube might do nearly as well.

      Well they do have the Virtual Console libraries on the Wii, 3DS, Wii U, etc. - but did you mean actually rereleasing the old systems themselves? Just not sure that that's their market anymore...there's tons of cheapish, off-brand "flashback consoles" running around, I'm sure. Even combination consoles with different slots for different games.

      But if you could get an official Nintendo one, with slots for NES through N64, and internet access for the virtual console? I bet it'd sell.
