  1. Behold, the Great and Powerful Millipede! Oberseve in wonder and awe as the Millipede vanishes from the top of the screen and reappears at the bottom! The Millipede is faster than the eye!

Since I didn't have room to mention it on the last post, the Millipede I was referring to in the original status message was actually the Game Boy port. In that version once you hit 300,000 points segments of the Millipede itself start literally teleporting from the top of the screen to the middle and bottom! lol

But you've got something better: an awesome MAME cab with trackball installed! Retrobuiltgames has a new control panel option with trackball for Porta Pi users, but if I get the trackball control panel, I'll miss out on later arcade games that use more than two buttons. I think I'll just get a 2600-Dapter II and set it to trackball mode for use with my CX-22 and plug it into my MAME cab.

I'll admit it, I do love that arcade cab with the trackball. Just having a real analog trackball to play the original arcade versions of Centipede and Millipede with is awesome and gives the games a level of precision control that you just can't get from any other controller. I still miss the easier difficulty and nostalgia of the Atari 2600 versions somemtimes, but I definitely don't take my cab for granted. =)
