I think the best thing about older consoles, anything PS2 / GameCube / Xbox and back really, is that they never try to sell you sh*t. Every time you turn on a newer console the first thing it wants to do is connect to the internet then try to convince you to buy something.

  ^ Pretty much. Same goes for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Wii U, and 3DS. I don't know about the Vita but I'd assume it's probably just as filled with advertising as every other console these days.
