It strikes me as funny that Sega and Sony mascots like Sonic the Hedgehog, Spyro the Dragon, and Crash Bandicoot all have multiple great new games on the Game Boy Advance, while Nintendo's own Mario only got remakes of his previous games for his outings on the GBA.

  I suppose it does, as does Mario Kart Super Circuit, but I was thinking more of the main series of Super Mario platforming games rather than spin-off series. It seems like all of Mario's platforming competitors had great main series games on the GBA, while all Mario got was graphical updates of his NES and SNES adventures along with a few spin-off games.
