I always enjoy comparing games on the NES, Sega Master System, and Atari 7800. Tonight's games are Rampage on all three then Rad Racer on the NES, OutRun on the SMS, and Pole Position II on the 7800.

@carlsson: Having never played the arcade original I don't really have a frame of reference for it, but I can say that the SMS version of OutRun did play very well with smooth controls, great sound, and really impressive graphics.
@Bydo: I usually agree with you on games, so I'm curious what you didn't like about Pole Position II for the 7800? To me it played exactly like the original Pole Position on the 2600 (which was definitely a good game) just with better graphics...

It seems most reviewers agree that the SMS version is better than it should be, that the Genesis version is the best of the older consoles and not until Saturn there was an arcade perfect port. What strikes is that all three consoles are Sega machines, yet ported by three different companies. It is almost like Sega gave them a helping hand to ensure no other port would shine over those. Of course entirely leaving out Nintendo's consoles from the porting game made it easier, only leaving C...
