  1. Well, after putting it off for 8 years due to a lifelong phobia of dentists I finally summoned my courage and had oral surgery to get 15 teeth pulled today. My mouth looks like something out of Silent Hill now and I'll have to get dentures after everything is healed, but man am ever glad that it's finally over.

      @Trekker_1138 you may have a point. I do visit the dentist twice a year and never had any problems aside from occasional cavities, but I rarely floss unless I have food packed in my gums that needs to come out. Then people who brush and floss religiously and have all sorts of problems. Get cavities fixed before they become problematic.

      Do you think that over-brushing or flossing could somehow accelerate wear of the enamel? That would be only way to explain people like me who brush "as needed" and get biannual cleanings not having issues, whereas people who are borderline OCD and brush/floss immediately after every meal getting teeth yanked.
